My mother's oven stopped working during the pandemic (bottom element would not heat) and she didn't want a repairman coming into the house to fix it. I looked up the problem online and the repair site listed replacing the element as fixing the problem about 70% of the time. I was skeptical that this was her issue. Her oven and the element were in good condition with no indication that the element was bad. She was scrubbing her oven and the oven never worked again. While I really don't know much about electronics and appliances, certainly not how to begin fixing them, I can watch YouTube. Replacing the bottom element looked easy enough so I figured I'd give it a try myself. Amazon's price was much better than the appliance part sites that I checked and, like them, Amazon was offering free returns on this item. Figured even if I couldn't fix it, I wasn't really losing anything by trying. The repair ended up requiring turning off the circuit breaker, removing two screws, pulling the ends of the element out from the back of the oven, removing the wires from the element (took a bit more force but not really more difficult than plugging in a USB cord), plugging the new one back in, replacing the two screws, turning on the circuit breaker, and testing out the oven. It worked perfectly. My 40-minute drive to and from her house took several times longer than the repair itself. It ended up being incredibly simple and really cheap. I will say this is not a repair that my mother could have done herself, but that is only because she couldn't have gotten down on her knees to get to the screws and wires in the back of her oven. For anyone who wouldn't have a problem getting to the back of their oven, I wouldn't hesitate to suggest trying this element before calling a repairman. As a side note, I was able to test for electrical continuity in her old element after taking it out. There was no continuity even though the element seemed to be in perfect condition. Amazing, works super well and was easy to install

After I got a wrong item from third party's "compatible" product, I got this genuin one. Easy to install and works very well. The oven is Frigidaire, model CEFE3016LWH, and it's about 10 years old. Its bake elements were broken every 3-5 years or so while other functions work, so this is actually third time to replace a bake element. (I have another oven which never broken for 20 years now even I use it every day, so I am not sure what was wrong but so far this bake element is good.) This is first time I bought 316075103 bake element through Amazon. I have used this new bake element for about a month now, hopefully it will last years.
