These are solid water carafes and hold a good amount of water, but they’re not too heavy. I keep 2 at work for water for the coffee maker and rotate filling them up and I use the other two at home for batches of tea that I make every few days. I do put hot tea in them, but I wait until it’s filled down some.

The bottles are beautiful and the tops work great. I use them for homebrewing. Since fermentation continues in the bottle for a while after you've racked your brew, I "burped" my bottles twice a day to try to keep the pressure down while waiting for the yeast to die. Even so, though, one of the bottles, when I opened it, cracked with such force that the top inch or so of the neck broke off and went flying around the refrigerator. This is only one incident, and since there's no way for me to measure what the PSI was in the bottle when it broke, one can't say whether this was a defect per se with the bottle. It's entirely possible that the pressure simply became too high to expect glass to endure it -- the "pop" was quite loud and forceful, stronger than on the other two bottles, so I really don't know. I just mention it here in case anyone else runs into a similar problem.

I Love these bottles. They are perfect for what I use them for. I make my own rosewater toner and when it cools off in the pan, I use a funnel to pour my fresh organic rosewater into the sterilized bottle. I keep it in the fridge, the bottle has a great seal to keep it fresh for about 2 weeks. I also use these bottles to put purified water in the fridge so I can always have cold water to drink. I just Love these bottles. To clean them I add them to a large pot of cool water and bring it to a boil and let them boil for a bit then turn off the burner and let cool. I then take them out of the water and let them air dry, they are all ready for the next use.

Used these for coquito to give out as presents and they worked out perfectly! Thick, durable glass and spill-proof when closed.

I'm using these bottles for my water kefir second fermentation. They hold in the carbonation just fine - and I find these swing tops so much easier to use than the grolsch beer bottles I had been using prior. Having a clear bottle makes it infinitely easier to not overfill as well - not that it's a problem when using these, since I brew a quart at a time of water kefir and that fits in a bottle perfectly. Been using for at least a month now, each bottle multiple times a week, and no problems yet. My latest 2nd ferment recipe has been with 1/2 cup grape juice to 1 quart (4 cups) water kefir. The results taste like sparkling wine. Friends and family who've tried have enjoyed it so much they've asked for my excess grains (my water kefir grains multiply like gangbusters, so I'm constantly offering them to people! I bought them off Amazon too, here: 1/4 Cup Live Organic Water Kefir Grains (Tibicos) Natural Probiotics ) to have a go at it themselves. So I ordered another set of these bottles to give out along with the kefir grains so help them along in their quest for delicious bubbly probiotic nectar.

Great bottles. I used them for making home made elderflower syrup. The bottles worked well for it and seem to seal well. I was able to put the hot syrup in the bottles without any issue. I did temper the bottles before adding the hot syrup and I added it slowly. Super nice bottles and seem good quality. Not sure how easy or hard it will be to clean them but so far so good.

Et pour le kéfir aussi, niquel. Résistante, facile à nettoyer au goupillon. J'aimerais juste avoir les même en format 0.5 litre :)

Las compré para guardar kombucha no las he utilizado aún así que no puedo calificar el cierre hermético pero el vidrio es grueso y resistente, se me cayó una de la barra al suelo y no tuvo ni un rasguño.

The bottles arrived quickly and in good condition. I’m using for keeping tap water cold in the fridge which is handy, and they are also nice for when visitors are round as attractive (and plastic free) for the table. Good value for 4 bottles - just what I wanted
