I'm a size 40 will the size 42 be okay?

I'm a size 40 and unfortunately the belt I purchased ran 4" smaller than any other 40" belt in my wardrobe; therefore had to return it. A 42 may fit; 44 more likely.

What size of this belt will fit a waist of 40?

I have a 38 waist and got a 40 belt. Hope that helps.

I wear a size 38 belt. Is a large in this belt the right size?

I bought a size medium, my waist is 32. It is too big for me. My answer is large is probably the right size.

How wide/thick (over an inch?) is this belt?

Just about 1 1/2 inches wide. Awesome belt. I have 2.
