Aran Crafts Men's Cable Knit Shoulder Detail Zipped Cardigan (100% Merino Wool)

I have a bunch or Irish sweaters made by Aran Crafts. Some I purchased in Ireland. This zip front cable knit is similar to the pull overs I already have, but it also has pockets and a full length front zipper. It is extremely warm and fits me perfectly in a size medium, my usual sweater size. Excellent quality and a very good price.

This is my first Irish Merino wool cardigan and I'm very impressed. I have always had issues with wool because it causes my skin to itch... even when using long sleeved shirts. I was very happy to feel no itch with this cardigan. I can comfortably wear it with short sleeved shirts since I tend to run a little hot even in the dead of winter. The texture is super soft and warm and I love the color. It's a bit pricey, but well worth the money.

Great purchase, my husband loves Irish things and he wears this all the time. Definitely worth the money!

Very nice yarn & knit. Nice color, except I'm not sure I like the much darker color across the shoulder tops (that part is also a looser knit, but maybe it's a "tougher" knit?).The zipper pull is on the "wrong" side for men, but we're big boys and can handle it.The size is a little snug, compared to other large-size sweaters that I own. There's so much variation in sizes, between different makers. One "large" sweater that I own, also from Ireland, was so big I had to wash it in warm water and block it to shrink it a little.

I was hesitant to order this from Amazon instead of Aran directly. I need not have been, it is lovely and fits true to size. Highly recommend.

The sweater kept me warm in NYC 45° degree weather without the need of any additional outer layer. I walked out of 93° degree weather and into 45°. The sweater is light, it does not feel heavy, you can walk around for hours comfortably.

Excellent quality, great customer service. Zip front cardigan with pockets, nice weight and fit. My son is 6’1 and 160 fit well as slim fit not oversized. Good for business/ casual.

I feel warm and soft while wearing this sweater on cold days. Price reasonable. It is highly recommended.

I've tried this cardigan twice now. The first was around 14 degrees Celsius. It held up nicely to the weather. The quality of the wool is decent and it is great to have a cardigan with pockets.I used it again this morning at around 6 degrees Celsius and it was not at all effective. The cold draft easily penetrated through. The knit on this is not too loose but it can certainly be more tight. I can very clearly see the tiny gaps when held up to the light. I was hoping for a more tightly constructed knit considering the price. Overall, I would say this is more suitable for fall or spring than for winter weather.
