Basic Machines and How They Work

Lovely book, with concise and well written text describing the use of basic engineering machines. I would hasten to add it is probably a study manual rather than an experts guide handbook. I'd struggle to see the market for this book, given how extensive the range of machines documented in the book are. Preferably something to read on a quiet day while other machinery are running, it's best home under the staircase or on a dusty bookshelf, really.

Descriptions divers and submarines wrong completely.

Fun and clearly written with good pictures . However it does keep to basic machines. No fancy modern stuff! I think that is part of why I like it.
