Trust that this razor is very high quality and made in Japan.
I feel in control and get very close and consistent shaves from the Seki razor. The razor feels very heavy and has a beautiful look to it. The butterfly mechanism works smoothly.I’m a happy customer.

An alternative for you
Just as a word to the wise, on the wet shaving forum I frequent, this is believed to be the same razor that is sold under the name Weishi, which can be bought on Amazon with five razor blades for far less money:https://www.amazon.com/WEISHI-Butterfly-Double-Classics-Reusable/dp/B001D4Z87W/ref=asc_df_B001D4Z87W/I can't *prove* beyond doubt that it's the exact same razor, but you might want to compare for yourself as part of your shopping. The forum consensus seems to be that both of them are made in China, not Japan. (Many good razors are made in China. But products should be accurately represented.)

Very Fine Razor
Amazon had chrome version listed and not this brass one, which I was aware of and would have preferred. As luck would have it, they sent me this brass version! I find it to be a perfect razor in every aspect. It has a shorter handle and is lighter than my other razor, a King C. Gillette, which has a Muhle R89 / Edwin Jagger three piece head/handle design. Both have the same shave quality, though the Seki has slightly more blade exposure. I tend to want to stay away from the term "agressive" and call it a normal razor, which is neither overly agressive nor overly mild.I have a preference for the TTO (Twist To Open) design. This not only allows easier and more quickly changing of blades but allows better access for cleaning. I like to open the razor after I shave. This allows me to remove the blade and rinse the razor in seconds.Taking the blade out, rinsing and wiping the blade off and drying the blade prevents the minerals in the water from drying on your blade and greatly extends the blade life, as does turning the over.I have tried this and the King C. Gillette razor with a 15-blade sample pack and received a quality shave from every blade, with no exceptions. There isn't really anything that I would change about this razor, design wise. One positive design characteristic over the three piece razor, is that when you open the top of this razor, you are placing the blade on a bar. This provides better and tighter alignment than the three peg design of a two piece head, where the blade can end up slightly angled.

Very small razor
The razor appeared really well made but extremely small. My hands are too big for this razor. I ordered a Muhle Grande in its place.
