It is compatible with my LS 430 2005. I found it was of good quality at a good price.

Ecogard XA5279 Air Filter
Fits a 2005 LS430, found it to be a bit bigger then the previous one that was installed. But it fit fine.

similar FRAM or Denso
I don't understand the review where it says this filter is flimsy. Maybe they changed the way to manufacture it. I got the FRAM and then the Denso filters in the past (which look identical to each other). The one from Ecoguard looks very similar and gives the same feeling in the materials being used. No problem to install it either. Don't overthink and buy the cheapest one.
