The diameter, anyway is right at 3". I don't remember the height.

Will this filter work for a yamaha vmax 150 outboard? if not which do you recommend? thanks

Not sure if it will fit. I installed on a 70 HP. Yamaha. Once you determine the right filter, I do suggest you watch a you tube video before installing. I did not know the filter needed to be filled with gasoline before installing to prevent and "air lock" in the line. Good Luck!
