Works as advertised. See the photo for end result. Easy to install and would fit almost any cord the way designed. Smaller than I thought it would be; however works just right for the pendant light I purchased for it. Would order again.

The bottom line: This is a great wall mounted pulley.It was easy to install and looks great.The lamp that is hanging from it weighs a little under two 2 Lbs.It is sturdy, and has weight in the hand. Cute but a little on the small side. Wish I'd gone for something a little larger but for the price, I am going to make it work. I'm using it for a secondary bedside lamp in a guest room. Scratches easily, paint nicked off just taking out of the package. We'll call that patina. Due to it's smaller, think narrow, I'm going to mount the bracket on to a piece of 6" W x 24" L distressed white-washed wood, possibly double stacked, to give it more extension from the wall and overall presence. Our walls are painted a fairly dark taupe color and placement is in a shadowy corner of the room so it needs to be larger in my opinion. Comes with sheetrock anchors and screws which should support the weight of the hanging light socket lamp adequately if mounting directly to the wall.

This is an interesting item that sounded great at the moment but was a bit of a let down in person. It's tiny, so small in fact that any kind of lamp shade you put on it will be hitting the wall. I think if I put it on a thick piece of wood I might be able to get it far enough from the wall to be more usable- but then there's the part where the electric cord doesn't stay in place and your light-bulb lowers itself to the ground. Even if your light bulb doesn't break its a serious hazard so now not only do you have to get something additional to get it far enough from the wall to be useful- but you also have to come up with a system to make sure that your light-bulb doesn't hit the ground and start a fire because the locking mechanism on this product is useless.

This is super cute for a bedside light. You don't have to take up nightstand space, plus if you mount it high enough you can pull the light down closer to you if you need it brighter. It was super easy to install into the wall as well. I ended up not using the anchors because I went straight into a stud instead, so far so good, very sturdy. Adds a unique piece to spice up your space rather than a normal lamp.

This is just "okay" - it is so much smaller than expected, though the dimensions were included in the listing so I take responsibility for not really taking the time to conceptualize just how small this is. It still worked for our needs, but we would have preferred something larger, sturdier, and not with a shiny black coating (more of a hammered or aged paint job would have been more in line with the industrial theme of this device). It was simple enough to install and included hardware. Threading the cord of our pendant light through the wheel was simple due to the mechanism that allows the wheel to be easily removed then replaced with a locking pin.

I bought this pulley to use with a pendant light. I love the way to looks and was super easy to use. You simply pull the pin out and the round piece comes off and you place your cord on the round piece. Place it back and put the pin back in.. DONE. Looks really nice and comes with hardware to hang. It also comes with the clip that you can use to keep the cord at a specific length so it can't be pulled down or up. Love it and it works!! it sits over a glass desk and I was nervous it was gonna fall but my pedant light hasn't fallen...its been nailed up there for months so I would say it pretty secure. I must add that sometimes the pedant light starts to creep down a lil bit but that could just be my light and I honestly wouldn't worry about it since it on a lever. The process of it slightly falling is really slow its over the course of days maybe weeks I dont really notice till one day I'm at my desk and my light is kinda low but again just pull the light back up n its fine lol it hasn't hit the desk at all.
