I wanted to love this I heard it was a great heat protector however not for my hair. Maybe for someone with thick or curly hair. I have wavy hair and I used this it was greasy. Maybe if you do one spray all around your head it can work. But when I apply a heat protector I apply by sections and that was way to much for my hair. Just made my hair feel super greasy and stiff. Definitely do not need an oil after this. Wish I could return.

The Blowout Professor on uTube showed this to be the most effective heat protector compared to others that he bought at Ulta. So I had to try it as I straighten my hair with an iron (Dyson Corral). It spritzes out as a fine mist, and it gives a fantastic shine and softness to the hair. I was amazed. I don't even have to add my usual oil after styling. It is also less sticky than my current heat protectant, Moroccan Oil. However, you have to use VERY sparingly or your hair will look greasy and hang in strands. Still, aside from that learning curve, I love it for it's gloss and protection. One thing that helps is to lightly spray into palms of hands and then smooth it over your hair. Don't spray directly unto hair.

Not the best smell but not the worst. I spray it on before I flat iron my hair, I follow up with a product from the same company, it's called sexy hair smooth sealThat works great too and it smells like the beach! So any scent left behind by this black can goes away after I apply the smoothing spray. Worth the price.not sticky or oily.Doesnt make my hair stiff. Smooths my hair nice and I feel like it really does protect my hair from heat styling.

Recently purchased this spray clay from an authorized dealer in Sexy Hair Products. I did not get the can I purchased from Amazon! Product smells like concentrated Tide Laundry Detergent and did not really give me the texture I need! It did not hold my fine hair. If you are “scent” sensitive then stay away from this product! If you expect it to hold fine hair then you will most likely be disappointed as I was!
