What is the expiration date on these batteries?

My set is dated 06-2015. I have used them all but 1 and no problems here.

How can you tell if a silver oxide watch battery is bad before inserting it into the watch?

Use a voltmeter. The battery is kind of small so it may take a little doing but put one metal lead on positive side (+) and one lead on the negative side (-). The voltage is what determines whether the battery is "good" or "bad". On these batteries I think it starts at close to 1.7 volts and will fall from there. Most devices will stop working when the battery drops below 1.0 volts though my old game boy would keep working until about .8 volts and I suspect a watch could take it even lower. It just depends on the device.
