Will a large car key fit on the smaller clip, thick key?

it does work but i do not recommend this key chain as i lost a very expensive car key since somehow the keys gets unclipped from the main unit and if you don't realize it you will loose them. it's beautiful and appears functional but i just can't recommend something that will create a huge headache in the long run. i hope this helps... i really need to write a review on this so that perhaps the company can fix the issue going forward.

Is this type of stainless steel magnetic?

There is no such thing as stainless steel magnetic. Only ferrous metal is magnetic.

r these the version w/ locks?

No. This is not the Micro Lock version. That's here: https://www.amazon.com/Nite-Ize-Stainless-Carabiner-MicroLocks/dp/B00FIX12AG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1475635637&sr=8-2&keywords=nite+ize+locking
