These work beautifully on various handbags, backpacks, slings etc... that I use either for travel or even out and about in everyday use. I can lock my zippers to each other or to an existing ring/loop, so that it is difficult for someone to pick pocket me. The first time I used them the locking mechanism is a bit tight, but you get used to it. I find these incredibly handy. As they are on the small side, it would be difficult for someone to try to unclip them while one is on the move or even standing.

These are of high quality and support high security with the discreet cam lock function. I fasten the carabiner on zippers on back packs to avoid being easy pick pocket targets in Europe . Very effective.
