Readable
This NKJV is not a thin line Bible, it’s 2 inches thick but super light in weight which makes it easy to carry. It’s a flexible paperback. I do have another NKJV and it’s thick but sooooo heavy I won’t travel with it. It’s not a red letter edition, which I prefer but not necessary. Now font is readable, big enough for me to read WITH my readers. I could not read it well if I did not have my readers. If you have 2020 vision, you should be able to read it just fine without any issues.. it has a nice picture on the front and back cover. It’s a keeper. Thank you

Excellent Bible !!! (Just wish the box packers were more careful).
We order these in bulk for a ministry. They are an EXCELLENT outreach Bible with 3 wonderful introductory sections in the front: 1. About the Bible, 2. How to Start Reading the Bible, and 3. Getting to Know God. The Table of Contents format is great! For example, the New Testament is grouped in to these headings: The Record of Jesus’ Life, History of the Early Church, Letters from Paul to Christians, More Letters to Christians, and The End of All Things. I noticed in a bad, one star review, the person complained that the type size is small despite the fact this is a Larger Print Bible. I would conclude that person has never seen how small the print is in an actual economy mass distribution Bible. Compared to a mass distribution economy Bible, the print in the Larger Print edition is AWESOME! Hey! You can’t beat the price for a Bible this GOOD. It is a thoughtfully formatted and excellently published FULL Bible (not just a New Testament). There is no better value than this one. I hope the price stays this good. If so, we plan to order A LOT MORE OF THEM! (The ONLY draw back I see is that the box packers that ship these are not careful to avoid bending the covers when they throw them in the boxes. As I said, we order a lot of these but so far in the last 2 weeks we have had 3 damaged Bibles that we cannot give out to people).

The Best of the Best
How does one critique the inerrant word of God? Well, you do it with the most detailed blueprint available. Nelson's NKJV Study Bible, large print, is outstanding. The illustrations are abundant and colorful. The mapping is thorough and appropriately assigned to the timelines in question. The word focus is on point and informative. The language is still beautifully couched in Elizabethan English but streamlined to eliminate some of the more archaic usage. The poetic harmony of the NKJV is enhanced by the large script which supports easier, faster reading and absorbtion. And the notes; they are magnificant. How do I know; I have a Matthew Henry; a DAKE; a MacArthur and a Ryrie, all of which are excellent Study Bibles. The notes are good in all but they are over the top in the Nelson. Oh and by the way, I am well aware of the fact that the KJV is the Byzantine Text or Textus Receptus (some call it the majority text) which has received some negative press by those who prefer to hang their hat on Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus; that perhaps editorial license and interpolation was taken by some over zealous scribes some few hundred years ago and that Nestle Aland and Westcott & Hort's Text should be the scriptural searchlight for all future issues. Folks, I have a Life Application Study Bible, NLT and I love it but to all of those of us who love literary masterpeices, I ask you to consider Shakespeare in "dynamic functional equivalence". This Nelson NKJV is a fabulous product that just plain feels good everytime I pick its big old body up. Thanks Nelson!Ralph Jinks

Not a theologian
I am just an average stay at home mom who wanted a quality Bible to assist in understanding the Word of God better. I am not an idiot. I am not a scholar. I just fall in the middle somewhere like most people. This Bible really has all the characteristics that a regular guy (gal) needs or could want. I am really pleased with it and particularly impressed with the excellent quality of the workmanship of the book itself. Very nice. Quite big and heavy I might add, not something to carry in my purse. Very sufficient for my needs for Bible study. I really like the book summaries and the word focus that gives me more indepth understanding.

Great Bible with small print.
Today I recieved my NKJV Thinline Reference Bible and the cover is great it lays flat. The references at the bottom of the page are fantastic. It keeps the references from interfering with the text.Excellent concordance. The only problem is that the print is too small. If you wear glasses or without 20/20 vision, then you may have a challenge reading without a bright book light over the page. The Comfort Print helps some. However, with cell phone text and Bible apps, it's about time that Bible Publishers stop being cheapand do a better job increasing the text for God's living Word. Even if you darken or bold the print the page. I really like this Bible but it needs a backlight for the print like the cellphone or at least make it an 8 point print. Nelson you can do better in the print area.

What a pleasure...
I am very pleased with this Bible. The print is very easy on the eyes and the largest font that I have found for a Bible especially for someone with vision difficulties. It is a pleasure to handle. The cover is soft and flexible and makes it feel "broke in" before you open it. There is very little shadowing from the opposite side of the page and minimal bleed-through when I use a highlighter. The Bible is very well constructed to withstand many years of daily usage. The leather-like cover is stitched around the edges and the gilded edges and double bookmarkers makes it quite handsome. Most of all, it contains the living Word of God that comforts my soul and gives me peace. Go ahead and order - you deserve this treasure.
