Garage door opener decided to give up, and needed battery replacement. These fit well, and worked for the task. There’s no way to address life, etc., but they’re Duracell, so they should be a good quality and since this is the second generation of batteries on this opener, they’ll probably outlast the buttons on the unit!

These Duracell 2032 lithium batteries are exactly what you expect from Duracell in terms of performance, but what really sets them apart is the added child-safety feature. They’re competitively priced for a name-brand battery, work perfectly with AirTags and other devices, and deliver reliable, long-lasting power — but the bitter coating is the real standout. Duracell has added a bitter taste to the battery to discourage children from putting button batteries in their mouths, and that is a brilliant and responsible design choice. Button batteries are small, shiny, and extremely dangerous if swallowed, so anything that helps prevent that risk is a massive win in my book. This should honestly be the industry standard, and all battery manufacturers should follow Duracell’s lead. The packaging is also well thought out, with child-resistant features that add another layer of safety without being frustrating for adults. Installation was easy, the batteries worked immediately, and they’ve performed exactly as expected. Reliable power, fair pricing, and a meaningful safety innovation make this an easy 5-star product. You can't use something that you can't get out of the package. One star taken away for the packaging being so hard to open. Maybe everyone has the same problem, but as an older adult, I have a very tough time getting these out of the package. The batteries are great, but they should make packages that are less child proof for those that do not have children in the house. I'll try a different brand next time to see if they're easier to open.

The hardest thing about using these replacement batteries is getting them free of the packaging. Duracell is all-in on making these button-style batteries as safe as possible from having infants / toddlers think they are something to put into their mouths. Even with scissors to free one of the batteries from the package took some time and effort for an adult. The good news is that they fit perfectly in the portable digital thermometers we have which display temperature and humidity levels. We have two which came together. One quit in our bedroom, then about 10 days later the one in my office also died. These 20-32 lithium batteries got the thermometers going again immediately upon easy insertion. Not sure how long they will last, but am hoping for many months of power. I went with the four pack size as I hadn't had to change the batteries on the devices previously. There are options for more batteries with a lesser price per battery if you buy more, but I wanted to be sure this size would work. So far, so good. Given that I refer to the devices multiple times a day, having them working again offers a great value proposition.

I purchased a number of these over the years as they are very handy for some items that need to be powered by the 2032 lithium duracells and nothing has changed! They are the same dependable long-lasting duracells batteries that I've used for years. I am not going to review these any longer.
