If you're right-handed and removing a card from the right side, the zipper will be on the bottom. Is there a mirror-reverse version?

Not sure how to answer your question. But if you are wearing it with the fold in the front it is going to be on the right which is how I wear mine because I use mine as a wallet and not as an id holder.

will an iphone fit inside?

No, it will not. The size of the holder is 4 1/2 inches by 3 inches.
