Great way to create less waste and save money.
I like to start my own vegetable seeds and flower seeds. I find that the peet pots don't breakdown very well once planted in the garden. I've made hundreds for staring my own seeds. I've used the little pots I've made and have given away a lot too. Its easy to use. Its quick? The price you spend on this will surely save you money in the long run.

Works very well!
Well crafted and just cute! Made a lot of paper pots with this tool and my kids enjoyed helping me make them. Perfect for starting seeds and I can plant directly into the soil. Highly recommend, was a great price for the quality as well!

Looks Weird, but Super Useful & Convenient
I wanted to start seeds this year, but didn't want to spend a fortune on the plastic trays that just end up going to the landfill. I read about making biodegradable pots with old newspaper, but it looked kind of tedious. I happened to see an ad for this product and clicked on it, then read about it, and decided to purchase it. It makes creating pots from old newspaper, as well as paper grocery bags, very simple. You just wrap a strip of the paper around the spherical part, then smash it into the base. You quite quickly have yourself a little seed starting pot! They are paper and biodegradable, so you can just dig a hole and plop it in your garden when it has warmed up outside. You can use a can or a bottle to make the pots, too, but I I feel like this is better if you have to make a lot of paper pots because it's easy to hold, doesn't slip around, and the base helps to make a sturdy bottom.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Great starter pots for herbs & small veggies!
Super easy to use and makes versatile pots for rooted herbs, flowers and small veggie seeds! TIP 1 - makes best/sturdy pots with 2 layers of newsprint, one wider on outside, shorter on inside. TIP 2 - Use the dowel to measure the width of paper, tip to groove in handle for narrow strips, Tip to tip for wider ones. My one ask of manufacturer. Make a larger version too. This tool makes a 2" pot, would love a 4" version for my larger starter plants like tomatoes!

OK Product
This works but it a bit of work to use. Really don't like using newspaper because of ink. Using plain brown paper work as well but it can't be too thick. Don't use it as much as I thought I would.

Hit at the LA County Fair
I saw this at an Earth Day event and ordered it that day. What a great way to reduce the use of plastic and repurpose newspaper. The wood is smooth and beautiful and perfectly marked so you know the proper height to cut the paper and then where to start rolling the paper. I use a long strip of newspaper. Iโm a Master Gardener and this was a hit at the LA County Fair! Children loved making their own pots, and after I filled them with moist soil, they selected seeds and planted them, and took them home. I have not yet planted in these to get seedlings and then transplant them. Excited to do so.

Beautiful wood, fast easy to use, should be the choice of any Gardner.
Reality nicely designed, works great for making newspaper pots. I noticed that you need enough paper at the bottom to fold over and create a sturdy bottom. I also noticed that if you fold over the section where the paper ends, fold that section first so the remaining folds help keep the pot more secure, to keep it from unravelling. I recommend this product to any one wanting to make their own pots. Even my husband the skeptic was impressed.
