Perfect for the next step in home automation
Perfect pairing with SmartThings.Turn off the blue indicator light (blue LED) on the switch by pressing the up (on) 3x fast, then down (off) once. This has to be done quickly, but will turn off the blue LED. Do the same thing to turn it back on. I found this a must for the bedroom switches as the LED is way too bright, but is perfect for other areas of the house to find the switches at night.Pair the switches up with motion sensors in each room and automate your lighting. Set up multiple scenes / automations for different brightness levels based on ambient light or time, or disable them from coming on automatically when in a certain mode (bedtime).I had installed motion lighting in another house of mine, but this is taking it to another level that just makes more sense. All lights and fans turn off when we leave and set the alarm, then select few turn back on when we arrive. It's so nice to not have to use switches throughout the house anymore as our lights and fans are automatically controlled for us, and turn off on their own based on certain timers, different for each area and its purpose. These switches are very responsive and I am very happy that they have the dim on and dim off feature as it just gives your lighting automation a much warmer and welcoming feel. Paired with some dumb (but smart) Phillips dimmable "Warm Glow Effect" bulbs and you can control the temperature (white vs warm white) with a bit more variation depending on the time of day / night. A much cheaper alternative than buying smart bulbs to let you control the temperature.Setting up the 3 way was quick and easy. The 4 way was a bit more difficult but that's because of how my electrician had the original switches wired up, which I eventually ohmed out and figured out what was going on. If you need to do a 4 way (3 switches for a light) or more, and you're not an electrician or handy with this sort of thing, consider calling somebody over that can figure it out for you as it took me hours to figure out how it was wired up and configure these properly.

Not as great as other reviewers are saying.
The Honeywell z-wave dimmer switch has a lot of great features but they aren't as great as other reviewers are claiming. So the things I like are: It has a longer dimming "curve" then similar switches meaning it dimms slightly more slowly giving me more time to select the dimming level I want. Some switches dim so quickly it is difficult to select just that right dimming level for the mood. On the other hand we use a controller to select light scene's and don't really use the dimming on the switch often. The next thing we noticed was that the screws on the back of the switch are greatly improved over the old Jasco products. We did not have a single wire screw strip out while installing these and were able to tighten them down firmly. Finally they work well with LED lights. The dimming is very good even with extremely light loads. (I think our under counter lights only draw about 10 watts yet they dim very well.) And lastly the color is a good match to the switch plates you find in the big box stores.I know that some folks are saying that these are not Jasco products, well I know for certain that they are since Jasco has been sending me endless emails to review this product and I followed their "review" link to this page. Hey Jasco, send a single email and then no more, that alone has me looking elsewhere for zwave switches. Next the Z wave functionality of these lights is just average. They have all the typical settings and all the random temper-mental issues that we all seem to run into with zwave products. (get a hint zwave!) They do not have any of the extended functionality you would expect to see with other products in this price range. Like double and triple click functions, color changing leds or any of the other bells and whistles that I have seen on other devices. While they do seem to fully support zwave plus I kind of expect all new zwave products to be zwave plus aware. So while I would recommend this product as a solid zwave choice, I wouldn't and won't go out of my way to get them.

Unusable with No Meaningful Technical Support
I purchased 5 of these for a home theater. Discovered that light level settings changed instantly instead of fading to the selected level. Supposedly there is a parameter that could be adjusted on the device (fade rate). However, unlike other Z-Wave suppliers, JASCO (maker of both Honeywell and GE Z-Wave products) does not provide device handlers for the SmartThings hub (or any hub), nor any documentation or (useful) technical support. I tried both email and phone support. Both attempts failed. I think I knew more than the people who answered. By the time I installed them and set them up, it was way past the return interval. Spent over 3 separate days trying various device handlers and creating my own. If someone provides a solution, I'll gladly revise my rating. Otherwise these are going to the donation pile.**UPDATE**: I was able to reset the parameters via the **old** SmartThings app (a.k.a. Classic) with an old community supplied device handler. Simple On/Off commands do fade, however in jerky/choppy manner (with LED bulbs). In comparison, the Leviton DZ6HD worked flawlessly. Regrettably, the SmartThings hub scene controller instantly changes from levels regardless of the fade rate setting. So purchasing a Hubitat controller and replacing these Honeywell ZW3005 with Leviton DZ6HD.

Dimming causes flashing with led bulbs
I installed these for a bathroom vanity (3 LED bulbs) and they would flicker when turning off or if dimming. I had to replace one of the LED bulbs with an incandescent bulb to increase the load for the switch, now it works ok, but I have to waste energy on an incandescent bulb. There might be other led bulbs with better step down circuit that prevents this oscillation, but I used a wifi dimmer switch previously without any problems, so the switch has a problem.

I use these with Smartthings
Integration, and functionality are good. There is a slight delay or response from lights when the button has been activated. I'm used to it now. Overall I'm happy with the item

Dead Out of The Box
Total waste of money. Was using GE Zwave switches and they die within a year so tried this brand. Did not even work once. Went into the garbage. Switch was stuck in rapid toggle on and off.
