Do you put this diaper over a disposable diaper or can you use it just as a stand alone diaper? I need something for my mother for overnight use. Thx

I use all 3 of these products plus disposable diapers.  My 22-year old son is not toilet trained so has both urine and bowel movements in his diaper, especially at night.  So I tend to use a disposable diaper as the first layer, so that I can throw it away.  Then I use either an All in one cloth diaper, or the pull on style adult diaper, with the LeakMaster PUL Adult Diaper Pants on top.  So 3 layers: 1. disposable diaper, 2. All in one cloth diaper, 3. Leak Master PUL Adult Diaper pants.  By layering these 3 I don't have to change my son's bed sheets as often, and can frequently use his pajamas 2 or 3 nights before they smell of urine.  I found that disposable diapers alone allowed too much leakage, making a mess.  The LeakMaster PUL Adult Diaper is fairly silent, too (unlike other plastic pants that I've used, which cause sweating and noise).  I should note that my son looks like a Tella-Tubbie with his 3 layers of diapers (sometimes I use 2 disposable diapers, the one closet to the body with a slight rip in the front, to allow leakage to the second disposable diaper).  I've been doing this for a lot of years so have learned some tricks!  I wash all of these items (except the disposable!) in the wash machine, hang to dry.  They are going strong and I've had some of the cloth diapers for over 2 years, used nightly.  Good luck! How do you wash it and remove odors?

I have alternated 3 pair in daily use over 3 years. I just throw them in with a regular wash, and haven't been concerned with the temp settings. I air dry. After such a wash, there is no odor left. They are still in good shape and don't leak fluid through the fabric at all. The elastic is still holding up. A caution, my wife threw some a fairly new pair of colored pants in. The plastic-like material realllly accepts and keeps the dye color. Doesn't impact usage though. I'm completely incontinent from prostate removal and use disposable underwear with an additional high capacity pad. These work very well and I have to really overload the combined capacities before they will have a minor leak.
