Use our high quality Drinking Water Test Strip to get 9 test results with one strip. Dip the strip to the water sample for 2 seconds, then tap the side of the strip on to a paper towel. Different parameters have different wait time for the result to manifest, it is best to wait 3 minutes and compare color of the test pad to the color chart. Here's a quick summary of the test in each strip. Total Alkalinity measures the water's ability to neutralize acids. Total Hardness is the measurement of mineral content in the water. Copper is a chemical element that may be found in water and is not good for the body. Nitrate is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless chemical found in water, however, too much of it is not advisable. pH will indicate if the water is acidic, neutral, or alkaline. Iron is important for the body and could be part of a dietary requirements, but too much of it is not advisable. Lead could be found in water and may result to health issues. Free Chlorine kills bacteria in the water but too much of it is not good for the body. Nitrite is also a colorless, odorless, and tasteless chemical but more reactive than Nitrite. Too much of it is dangerous to the health. Know your water by checking often! Packaging may be updated for better customer experience.

Inaccurate lead results, false positive
This test caused me a lot of worry and money. I used 4 strips to test my home's tap water and all of them showed clearly positive for lead. So I bought a much more expensive lab test and found that there is no lead in my water. You can not trust the results of these cheap strip tests. If they were free they would still cost too much.

It doesn't give the normal range
this product might very well work, but without providing the normal ranges for the items it tests for its pretty useless. So I got results, but I have no idea what those results mean. Too much chlorine in my drinking water? Not enough? My household water reaks of chlorine and I got this to tell me if there was too much chlorine so I could tell the people responsible but this just gives me a number. useless.

Quick water test
Easy to use. Excellent insight into water quality. A lot of complex chemistry is put into these test strips to make them readable by anybody to quickly assess water quality. Yes, a lot like swimming pool water testing, but that simplicity and accuracy level is a good thing. A lab test might be more accurate, but not necessary unless a problem is shown. For bacteria testing, not part of this kit, spend the money and get a lab test if you can afford it.

Horrible broken garbage
Horrible and does not work. Did side by side comparisons of leaded tap, filtered tap, botlled and RO water, each strip read exactly the same. These are a joke and will cause someone serious health risks if watwr is deemed healthy from them.

Not useful for me
I wanted to test my tap water for chloramine and test tap water and water that sits for while to determine how much chlorine gases off. They didn't work for either. There is no total chlorine test and free chlorine read zero for chlorinated tap water. Not sensitive enough.
