Yes they come in pairs... for the money they are pretty good.... a little tinny at first... I use them with a secondary system... not my prime listening system

Are they aluminum ? Th

The silver tweeter face is aluminum but the black round housing on the sides, back and pedestal are all plastic. No problems here so far.

I want to add these to a set of speakers that have a tweeter with almost the same frequency range. Will I realize any benefit if I do?

I mounted mine on top of my front speakers of my Infinity speaker 7.1 system and made a dramatic sound improvement with high frequencies even though my Infinity speakers had separate tweeters built in.
