Originally I bought a Contour Freedom Back Support Cushion to use in a chair in my home--worked so well for me that I recently bought 2 of these Contour Freedom Back Support Cushions to put in the car seats. In so many vehicles the seats are the "bucket" type which usually cause more pain for people who already have some back pain. These are portable, so wherever I sit, front driver or passenger, or back, seat in any vehicle, I can be more comfortable. It takes a small amount of space, but lets me sit a little more forward of the "bucket" rather than right in it which helps to relieve some pressure from my spine. I certainly recommend this type of back support cushion rather than the sloppy softer kind that might feel good for a minute, but doesn't have the lasting support that this does.
