Hydrotac OPTX 20/20 Stick On Magnification Reusable Bifocal Lenses - +2.50 Diopter (Pack of 2)

I had older pair that were +1.75 from 8+ years ago and they have never fallen out of my flat lens sunglasses. Eyes changed and purchased the +2.50. These stick on bifocals work on lenses with minimal curvature and great on flat lenses. Very clear on my flat lens sunglasses. I tried them on my wrap around sunglasses with a noticeable curve and they do not work/stick. So keep that in mind.That's probably why when I purchased 8+ years ago from Grainger they were listed with the safety goggles which have flat lens. Now you can find bifocal safety glasses that look like wrap arounds instead of the goggle type but hey are not bifocals and usually used for workplace.

After cataract surgery I needed sunglasses with readers. Already had three pair of plain Maui Jim sunglasses and wasn’t looking forward to buying all new Maui Jim’s w’readers. Found these lenses by accident and thought for this price I’d try them. They install easily and the vision is better than expected. Main concern was they were a bit large, but the directions said they could be trimmed. Positioned the lenses where I wanted them, used an ultra fine point sharpie to mark the area sticking out below the lens and then slowly trimmed them with sharp small scissors. Worked like a charm and didn’t hamper the vision a bit. Like the idea of being able to switch lens power for reading, driving, etc. In a perfect world they could be a bit thinner, but that’s not as much of an issue after they’re cut down. Hope they sell a lot of these for a long time so they’ll be available down the road if needed.

Use them on safety glasses. Work really well.

My dilemma is that I have numerous pairs of glasses and sunglasses but none have the magnification of "readers". The great thing is that my Hydrotac OPTX 20/20 Stick On Magnification Reusable Bifocal Lenses can be easily moved from one pair of glasses to another in just a minute, making all my glasses more useful and versatile.

I was hopeful that these would work well. I wanted to put them on a couple sunglasses that do no have a bifocal magnification. With all honesty - I was disappointed. I followed the directions as given - and I have a great pair of Ray Bans with flat lenses - they are just not 'sticking' like I had hoped. With a 2.50 magnification, they are also a little thicker than I had expected. They DO help with reading.Will they work in a pinch? Maybe......I'm a little nervous to wear them for fear the magnification lens will fall off. I purchased two sets - so I'll try them and see what happens. Not horribly confident, though.

Had high hopes but I would rate these as 1 to 1.5. I have Maui Jim and Costa sunglasses with 2.5 and they are perfect but these are not. If I needed a 1 or 1.5 maybe a 2.5 would work

They were easy to apply and they stayed in position. I even cut some down across the top as they were a hair too big for some glasses. I have used these for years and you can reapply them in other glasses. They absolutely work as bifocals.

We followed the instructions but this does not stick on with water as promised. Then when we went to return them we dicovered that the return window was only a month — since we weren’t going on vacation until next week we didn’t try putting them in and it expired by a week. :(
