Live In St. Louis 1976

If you haven't heard Budgie, you need to! Awesome band that didn't get the recognition they deserved. Great Soundboard Recording. Had to add this one to my collection since I live close to St Louis.

decent sound for what it is, but what it is, is one of the great overlooked bands ever doing some classic budgie material in a live setting. if you like great hard rock that is truly original, buy some budgie, and then if you need live versions of what you listened to , buy this too. if you are already a budgie fan, you will want this

this show was recorded in st louis in late 1976 and the last two tracks where recorded on long island at the old my fathers place club ( wich now proves budgie did play the new york area during the 1970s). this was released on the on air label a few years ago and the tracks 1 through 8 from st louis are total soundboard, the last two tracks (9 &10) are good audience, this is yet another great live document from budgie from there heyday back in the 1970s. i really miss these guys as they where one of the hard rock greats to come out of wales about 50 years ago.

very good live set from budgie from an early tour from the original band,sound quality varies at times but this doesn,t matter that much budgie didnt release an offical live album,so this one and a couple of other live cds that have been released in recent years will be welcomed by all the fans of this great band.

sound quality is "good bootleg" standard and varies from song to song ,however beggars cant be choosers and this is amongst the best live budgie out there great performance ,burke is as usual enthusiastic and sarcastic at the same time .sound is fuller than usual due to back up guitarist myf isaac .there are a couple of bonus tracks from a different concert including black velvet stallion rare to hear live.the cd itself is a professional looking semi bootleg so i suspect burke and co. wont get royalties,which if true is a rotten shame.still for budgie fanatics its a must buy

Highly recommended to any Budgie (or great rock music) fan.
