Quality product
High quality, well made product.Works exactly as advertised. Just follow the installation instructions and you should have no problems. I have it on a 25' pole illuminating a 3X5 flag. Remember though, its an accent light that meets the requirement tha an American flag be illuminated at night. Its not designed to light up your front yard. It does look a little like a ufo hovering when its really dark.I paired it with the Xtremepower US flag pole kit. Fits perfectly with no modifications.4 U.S. Code § 6 - Time and occasions for display(a) It is the universal custom to display the flag only from sunrise to sunset on buildings and on stationary flagstaffs in the open. However, when a patriotic effect is desired, the flag may be displayed 24 hours a day if properly illuminated during the hours of darkness.4 U.S. Code § 8 - Respect for flagNo disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.(a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.(b) The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise.(c) The flag should never be carried flat or horizontally, but always aloft and free.(d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker’s desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general.(e) The flag should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored in such a manner as to permit it to be easily torn, soiled, or damaged in any way.(f) The flag should never be used as a covering for a ceiling.(g) The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.(h) The flag should never be used as a receptacle for receiving, holding, carrying, or delivering anything.(i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown.(j) No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations. The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart.(k) The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.

Light keeps turning itself off, BUT great seller customer service
Several times since I purchased the light, I find that's it not shining at night, and I have to take it down and press the power button again. It's not a charging issue since the light turns on immediately when I press the power button. The light is bright when it works but repeatedly having to take is down is not acceptable. On the plus side, I contacted the seller and they contacted me very quickly to ship a replacement. Great customer service

flag pole light
Very bright and lasts all night. Rechargeable batteries with solar charging. Easy to set up and install. The off/on switch is confusing so before you put it up on top of the pole, test it in a dark room to make sure the lights come on and don't touch the on/off switch again. It will come on when it gets dark. Charge it in the daylight for 24 hours before use.

no light for flag
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I thought at first the product would be ok but after 9 months it completely stop functioning. I wrote company and no reply. I guess for this product the extended warranty is a must. I received a reply from the manufacture and they did offer a refund or replacement of the product and I took the replacement. I installed and it working great. This supplier has great customer service and will satisfy the purchaser.

Lights Up as Represented, But Not Bright Enough (imho)
The package is nice, and the product was safely shipped to my home.I measured the diameter and edge to edge it is just over 9.25". So it is not 7" as some say. The circular edge to edge is 9.25" diameter. The quality of the plastic? I think just okay. I work in the solar lighting industry and the plastic casing is nothing to write home about for sure. The underside has a sprayed metallic coating. It is pretty cheap if you ask me. When I checked the batteries one of the panels that covers the batteries was 100% metallic coated, as well as the inside of the battery compartment. The other two battery panels the coating was only on the outside and the insides were all black. Not a big deal, but shows you that this is just more China average plastic casing that is being slapped together for all of us in the USA.I am not that impressed with the quality of the product overall. It does do what it states to do - light up from the power of the sun.The solar panels are the type with the polymer coating which means they will in fact ghost, cake, turn white or yellow from the edges as they are outside exposed to UV over time. One would think that a solar product would take into consideration that it is going to be exposed to sunlight, huh?You can clean panels like this as they start to cloud. Rub them down with mists of water and the finest 1000 steel wool you can find, gently and slowly, and then allow them to dry. Coat them with an outdoor clear UV spray and they will actually be as good as new or better. But that will be 1-2 years from your start of use. I know this first-hand because I work in the solar industry myself full-time and experiment with various products on a weekly basis. As far as the lumens / brightness of the light - I have to say I was really shocked at how ineffective it is. I know it was not the batteries. I checked the batteries and changed them to another common brand to see if it was the battery choice. It was not. The lumens output was the same. I compared the Deneve light to a separate USB connected light bulb (5W/5V) and the USB light bulb was significantly brighter by a large degree. I held each at 2 feet from the ground in a dark room and took a light measurement. The light from the Deneve is broken up while the light bulb was even and brighter. They are two different applications but my measurement was on the brightness and quality of the light emitted. The Denve is not 250 lumens, and I would surmise it is more in the 150-200 range. I use a light meter.Does it work as stated? Yes, it does work well as far as off and onl. It does do fine charging during the daylight hours and emits light after the ambient light reaches a certain point of darkness. The top is the regulator, not on the underside. There is a switch on the underside (the led side) and you have to have it in the "on" position to charge the device. If it is in the "on" position it accepts a charge from the daylight and then will turn on automatically at dusk and emit light for as long as the batteries will last. In the winter it will not last the whole night in places like Michigan where it is 12-14 hours of time. Mostly this has to do with lack of sunlight in Michigan during the winter months, not so much on the batteries not having enough capacity rating to run the light 12-14 hours each night. In the May - August months I am certain the light will run all night easily and then some as you will have that many more productive sun hours to charge the batteries back to full reserve. In the end, if you have not experienced a good solar LED light, you will think this is a good one as compared to other experiences with solar lights from the bog box stores. Personally, I'm not convinced this is the best that can be done. But then again at $35.00 it is understandable and expectations at this level are reasonable by other commentators. I've have lights that can emit 1000 lumens and I've seen this one, which I cannot believe is much more than 200 lumens. They can design the same light with a larger panel, better solar cells on top, covered with glass or a more proven UV resistant polymer, use better LEDs (lm/W) that will emit much higher lumens, but it will naturally cost more.I give it 3 stars for the following reasons:a. It does what it states. No problem with the actual mechanics.b. The packaging is suitable, good for what it is.c. The price is about right for this product, but it is not overly impressive for what you actually get.d. This is not an impressive solar light in terms of lumen output, in my own experience with many solar LED products.e. The plastic housing used is just that - again for the price, what should one expect.f. Deneve does answer your questions and is responsive.
