As of November 2020 they are sending fake products. The product I receive does not matched the display photos and smell is off. The gel I received was clear while in the product display photos the color is cream. People in reviews say the product smells like green apples but the product I received smelled chemically. I would advise if the product you received looks like mine please do not use! I do not know what is in there or if it is safe. Please do not waste your time and try ordering directly from taliah waajid website.

I initially bought this product because I use other products in this hair care line which I like. Honestly, I did not have high hopes that it would (a) provide adequate hold or (b) would make my scalp itchy and sore as I have a severe nut allergy (read almond oil) which makes many AA hair care products a 'no go' for me. I am happy to report that neither was the case! I used the product for a twist out on my 4b/c hair that can, and will, shrink to one third its normal length (9 inches of hair in three inches of space). I washed and twisted my hair and let dry COMPLETELY overnight. The next day my hair was well defined, had limited shrinkage, the curls were firm without being crunchy and not weighted down, and it held for three days. On day three it hit it with a very light application of spritz, and it held another two days. No itch, no flakes, no problems. I really like this product and it is now my new go to for twistouts.

I bought this product because I really loved this collection's conditioner and thought I should try it. I was disappointed. It made my hair feel softer during application but did nothing once my hair dried. If anything, I needed to add additional products to compensate for lack of hold and shine. I'll continue to use it in combination with other products, I hate throwing things away. I would not purchase this again.

Just for reference my hair is 4a/3c and I usually use heavier gels. I decided to try to use it by itself for a wash and go to see how it played out. The consistency is a little light and it did make my curls pop when it was wet. When my hair dried it was very frizzy, it was not hard. My hair wasn't dry and actually very soft. I think that I will layer this with a gel and see how it turns out. Needless to say I am not sure that I will buy this again.
