Prier C-134KT-803 Stem Packing Replacement Kit for C-134/135/144/154

A slow leak in my outdoor spigot turned in a pretty significant leak. After a trip to local hardware store was unsuccessful, I took a chance on this kit. Mine is actually at 60s Dearborn, but the shape & size seemed right so I went for it. Couldn’t be happier. Exact part I needed and no more leaks.

Could not find this part at any of the 3 big box stores or Ace hardware. Shipping was quick, and was easy to install. Solved my problem!

Barely fitted in the valve, maybe a piece was stuck in the collar?? well, its not leaking....

Replacing the packing from my badly leaking Prier faucet was easy once I figured out that I needed to use brute force and a hammer to remove the corroded handle. Thinking of it, I should have bought a complete rebuild kit because every replacement part for that was a cheap faucet to start with, is expensive. Based on the Prier website, the corroded handle is not an unusual problem. It made replacing the packing a lot harder but the leak is fixed. By the way the washer included with the packing was useless, I could not remove the original one to replace it.I hope that this review helps someone who like me can not figure out how to remove the faucet handle.

Bought two of these for some old faucets. They fit perfectly; installation was easy. However, I spent a lot of time trying to remove the rusted/stuck handle screw. I took the long stem out and torched the screw several times. The came off eventually.

I got this kit to fix a leaking 1961 Prier spigot. It only leaked while the water was on, so I knew this bonnet packing was the issue. The kit is actually a genuine Prier kit (see photo I uploaded). Luckily, in my case, the handle screw came off easily, so this fix was quick and easy. By the way, if you leave the spigot in the off position, you shouldn't have to turn the water off for the whole house to replace this part.
