I had tried several different hooks for the front door, but all dropped off. This one has held up through the extreme heat (100 + degrees) with a fairly heavy wreath all summer. I anticipate it will continue to prove itself through wreath changes in the fall, winter, Christmas, etc. I recommend.

I buy these through Amazon because you can't beat the price and it's simpler than searching multiple stores for these particular outdoor strips/hooks. I hang different sized holiday wreaths year round on my wooden front door. I do a quick wipe to make sure the area I'm about to hang the hook on my door isn't dusty and follow the directions to wait a certain amount of time before hanging anything from it. Works like a charm! The wreaths I hang vary from smaller - less than a pound to approx. 3-4lb wreaths and these adhesives last for months at a time before I have to replace. The hook itself I received in this order was bronze in color, but plastic in feel and appearance. Just as an FYI because the previous hook I purchased in store cost more but was actual metal. They both have the same promise of being able to hold "up to 5lb" on the packaging so it didn't make a difference to me. I love Command products for no damage hanging!

I’m very happy with these hooks. I use one to hang a wreath on my glass (outside) door, and it has worked beautifully for at least 2 months. I was concerned that the swing between warm and cold temps in our area might present a challenge for the adhesive, but we’ve had both warm (upper 80s) and cold weather (20s) a few times since I purchased, and the hook’s adhesive held up fine. We enter and exit through this door very regularly, so it does take a beating.I made a mistake the first time I mounted it by hanging it too high. The adhesive strip removed very easily and left no residue behind.Overall, I’m impressed with this product.I should note that I cleaned the area for hanging with a bit of isopropyl alcohol and followed the instructions for mounting it carefully.

These are great and do work! The reason I gave 4 stars is because it did not work on my vinyl siding. Followed directions like always and the wreath I hung on it (a day after I hung the hook to make sure it was stuck on) fell off. I would not recommend using it on vinyl siding but the one I stuck to my glass storm door has worked beautifully.

I saw a DIY laundry bag hamper system online that I wanted to replicate in my own bathroom and instead of drilling holes into my walls, I decided to go with Command Hooks. I originally looked at those specifically for the bathroom, but eventually went with these mainly because they were cheaper at the time. Because they're designed for outdoor use I figured the occasional humidity in a bathroom wouldn't be an issue.I put these up in January 2020 and they're still holding strong in March 2021. I followed the instructions to clean the walls with alcohol, waited for it to dry, applied the strips and then let them cure for the full 24 hours and have not had any issues.

I picked up the bronze color and sticked it easily behind a mirror to set up a garland. I had already bought one for the entrance door to hang my wreath and months after it is still there ready to hang any kind of decoration for the porch. It is an inexpensive purchase that will last forever. I do not know if one can take that stuff off despite the adhesive is supposed to be easy to remove according to the instructions. I never tried, but I know it can bear a lot of weight. After the Xmas time I am going to hang a Phillips lamp to give an ambiance and I bet you there will not be any problem. Very happy.

So happy that I found brushed gold/brass in the Command line. It looks great and blends in very well with my decor. I am using them for behind my bathroom door, and each has held the weight of 2-3 full size robes at any given time and it handles them like a charm.

I've had this hook hanging on my front door for 2 months now. I live in Texas where weather fluctuates and changes at the drop of the hat, and this hook has held strong in 100 degree heat as well as frosty 20s.I was worried about a traditional wreath hanger damaging the weather strip so this was a good solution. It's also a great option if you have a tall front door like mine and want to hang your wreath at eye level, which isn't possible with most over the door hangers as they're not long enough (or are long enough but have a huge metal/plastic stick visible).
