I like this book as it is full of recipes that ...
I like this book as it is full of recipes that are quite doable at home. I like the pictures in the book, and the explanations of ingredients given at the beginning. This is the kind of book I have been looking for for a while on natural care, and beauty advice. I have a lot of ingredients that I have been acquiring and hoping to use them in various natural recipes. While I do have a lot already, I think some of the ingredients given in the book are quite obscure like willow bark, lucuma powder, different kinds of oil. I think they are probably available online, and that is where I would look for them. Other than difficulty in finding the ingredients, I think the recipes are explained well and in detail.I also like how usage and storage instructions are provided. These are usually hard to find, and whenever I make a homemade recipe, I often wonder about how long the mixture is going to be usable for. This is one great advantage that I see in this book. Some of the recipes that I like use bentonite clay mask as an ingredient, which I haven't seen before in books, and this has become quite a common ingredient now, and usually you would just apply the mask itself, but in this book it is suggested to mix the clay in for more recipes. Another similar ingredient that I have at home is Dead Sea mud, and it is also used here as an ingredient which is great!I have been using and reviewing a lot of vitamin C serums recently, and this book actually gives a recipe of a homemade version! This is great as I think this is such a good serum to use - it truly helps and regenerates your skin.I also know that steam is great for exfoliation, and as I had a lot of acne while growing up, I have to say that I used steam a lot for skin cleansing. Now, this book actually gives different steam recipes, so it is not simply plain hot water vapor that is used, but a mixture of aromatic ingredients that will definitely make you feel like you are at a spa, for a fraction of the cost!I am overall impressed with the number of recipes in the book, and there are so many new and fresh ideas! I hope to use lots of recipes with my kids in the next little while!Sample was provided discounted for reading and a review.

Love this book!
This book is amazing! It has so many different recipes, all of which are fantastic! I love making my own skin care products and this book will ensure that I never get bored with the same old recipes. Every time I open up this book I discover a new recipe that I can’t wait to try and I’m honestly never disappointed! There is something in here for everyone from very basic recipes to more complex. All the recipes are easy to follow and include informative explanations and tips to ensure success. This book is filled with information about all the ingredients and why they are good for your skin, which is very helpful. It has all the information you need to be able to take great care of your skin. There really isn’t any need to buy another book on DIY skin care. This one has it all!I really like how the book is compiled. The first chapters are all about skin care basics, ingredients and tools you'll need. The next chapters for face, body, hair and potpourri (everything else) are all easy to navigate. Then each chapter is further organized, for example the chapter on the face is broken down by cleansers, toners, moisturizers, masks, etc.) which makes finding exactly what you’re looking for super easy.Bottom line: this book has all the information you'll ever need for DIY skin care and you'll feel empowered with great skin!

Tons and tons of great DIY recipes for natural skin care, and lots of great information on creating better natural health.
I have always had very sensitive, problem prone skin. I cannot believe how helpful this book is. I love how in the beginning she breaks down different skin types and the different things that we put on our skin. And she really breaks down why each kind of thing (cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, mask, steam, etc.) is important and what it has to do. Then she gives all kinds of all natural recipes for things it will actually be good for skin.I have been wanting to move away from having so many chemicals in my life and on and in my body. This book is really helpful on my path to do that. And she is great about explaining that it does not have to be a "all or nothing endeavor."The recipes all have really user-friendly ingredients. It's stuff that I know what it is, may already have some, or know how to get some. It's not crazy weird things that I will have to ship in from the other side of the planet. This is the kind of stuff I have literally spent hundreds of hours searching and scouring the Internet for, and only found a few decent recipes, and here's a whole book full of all really great stuff!I received this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Almost perfect
I really loved this book and it had tons of great information. My only issue is that I want to create a natural skincare regimen that can fully replace my current one. Almost all of these recipes have to keep refrigerated which is just not what I want. I would have loved to learn about some safe preservative methods to be able to keep these in the bathroom like I do with my conventional products. Other than that, I loved the book. There is a lot of information on ingredients so you could really make it your own.
