Tiffen 49GG1 49mm Glimmer Glass 1 Filter

Absolute top draw for the money. It gives you an authentic, in camera (reduces post), cinematic look without compromise. Of course, Pro Mist filters can be great but all too often they create a 1970's soap opera dream sequence look. Those in the know use these over the more popular Black Pro Mist filters. Final note: when my Amazon parcel arrived it contained Cold Sore Cream - NOT the filter I'd ordered. I've had this happen with 2 x camera lenses and a laptop over the past few years (boxes filled with cat food). Amazon always make good but this needs to be sorted.

I love the Glimmer glass filters, this is a good strength to soften highlights without it being too much. I use this for pretty much all my commercial video shoots.

Undecided wether to get a glimmerglass 1 52mm or promist. After realising the I still wanted a bit of contrast in my images but still with perfect blooming highlights, the glimmerglass proved to be the best fit.

Love this filter. Makes amazing blooming with lights. I like it way more than my Moment Cinebloom filter. Currently using it in Japan and it’s great. Beware though that buying through Amazon can be a hit or miss. First one I ordered was broken (like the glass wasn’t attached to the frame). Second one was good though.

This stays on my lens 24/7 for anything involving people's faces or outdoor scenes. The soft halation and beautiful shapes this lens produces are unbelievable. This filter reduces the harshness of digital video considerably. You may wish to consider the slightly lower 1/2 version if you are filming for more modern projects, but for night photography and talking head videos you cannot beat this filter.

Dies ist mein erster Glimmerglas Filter, ich habe ihn für die Fuji X100 IV gekauft. Ich habe ihn in der Haoge Streulichtblende montiert, dort sitzt er geschützt und unauffällig. Im normalen Alltag fällt der Filter nicht auf, sind jedoch irgendwo Lichtquellen wie Laternen, Ampeln, Leuchten, Sonne etc., dann werden aus den hellen Lichtern sanfte Lichtbälle mit fließenden Rändern. Der Rest des Bild bleibt wie er ist, anders als z.B. beim White Mist Filter, der alles sanfter macht. Man kann also ganz normal fotografieren, er kann immer drauf bleiben.
