No, they start as moths and turn into balls

This is NOT camphor. the second to the last bullet point specifically says Para-dichlorobenzene. that is slightly less flammable than naphthalene but not as safe as camphor. please read more.

I can’t answer how long it takes? I assume it would be immediate. You need to keep them packed indefinitely or until the mothballs get oxidized and disappear. Them it’s time to buy more

Q: Does this get rid of outside cats in yard?

Yes, but it doesn’t last long. Sublimation rakes place spontaneously once it’s in contact with air. It lasts for about a week. Also, water dissolves it quickly. Best use is indoors, to het rid of silverfish and other bugs.
