Each piece, from the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex King and the formidable Spinosaurus Queen to the strategic Velociraptor Knights and towering Brachiosaur Rooks, is beautifully detailed and crafted from durable, molded plastic that looks impressive. I noticed that the King's height wasn't listed in the product description, which is unusual for chess sets, so I have provided it here. I've also highlighted the Rook's height since it is taller than the King, adding a unique twist to the traditional game pieces. As someone passionate about dinosaurs and chess, I find this set perfect for my interests. This was a big hit my nephews absolutely loved it. The 8yr old is into dinosaurs and Godzilla and loves to play chess. The only thing that would’ve been better was a set with the Godzilla character. But the dinosaurs were a great 2nd option. I was pleased with the quality of the product it definitely did not disappoint.

My grandson absolutely loved this chest set! We played a game as soon as he opened it. It was easy to distinguish which each piece was because the name is printed on the back.We had a great game!!! In the end I relinquished and laid down my king.

My granddaughter loves dinosaurs and chess. She was so excited over this chess set. It was super cool. Love it!

I bought this for my daughter's boyfriend for Christmas and she said he really loves it. So giving it 5 stars based on that and the fact that my daughter would tell me if there was something wrong with it.

This was a gift for my ~11 yo nephew. He was so excited to receive this and was even able to tell me the names of all the dinosaurs from memory. I will say that the pieces themselves are a little fragile (hence the 4 stars) with some of the dinosaurs coming slightly bent or a little loose from the stand. That said, none of them were actually broken and they were completely usable. I also liked that each piece had a little symbol on the base to note what chess piece it was in case you forgot. I do think it is slightly overpriced but it makes for a great gift for someone who likes both chess and dinosaurs.

I bought this as a gift for a friend. He is colour blind and unfortunately the colours of the dinosaurs are indistinguishable to him making play rather more complicated than playing with the classical, and highly visible, white and black pieces. I would not, therefore, recommend this article for anyone who might also be colourblind.
