Cuisinart Stainless Steel, 5.5 Quart Sauté Pan w/Cover, Helper Handle, Chef's Classic, 733-30H

This was a gift so it sounded as though it was just what was wanted. It arrived in good time which i was pleased about!

I've used this pan for a variety of meals since I got it a few months ago, and it makes cooking so easy. Despite being stainless steel, nothing sticks to the bottom and cleanup is fast and painless. I get a great sear on meats, sauté veggies with very little oil, and the size is spacious but still easy to pick up and move around. I'm pretty rough on my cookware and I haven't noticed any scratches on the pot or the lid so far, which is a bonus.

was a bit worried due to all the reveiws stating warped or hard to use. this was my first pan like this so i really read up on how to use it. if you follow those instructions you wont have a problem. never use high heat, i keep my electric burner under the middle range 4-5. it browns fine at that temp let it come up to temp before adding your oils never temperature shock to pan, let pan cool before washing by hand. dont add frozen or really cold meat etc. ( i cheat and pour a bit of boiling water to the hot pan immediately after cooking. it makes clean up ridiculous easy, even if i dont do that clean up hasnt been a problem, just basic wipe and light scrub with sponge.) no metal utensils. dont slide it around your glass front stove. lift and place thats it. ive seared several steaks, fish, made spaghetti sauce, fried eggs, hotdogs, stir fry and so on. all came out fine. its deep and wide enough to large amts of food at once, including soups, saucy stuff etc. really impressed at how fast it comes up to temp, and how long it retains heat after you remove it off burner. coming from cast iron its such a relief. i really hate how heavy cast iron is and how finnicky to clean.
