It is 100% UK. Here in the USA we do not add a "U" to words such as flavor, color, candor, etc. This device will not even recognize the word unless you spell it the UK way - flavour, colour, candour.

Doesn't last!

This is a good product however it stopped working after less than 1 year. I have no idea why. We put in a fresh Duracell battery too. Very disappointed. I had this growing up 30 years ago and that unit lasted decades. Build quality has decreased!
