I had two plastic lids, both cracked over time. This glass lid is great.

Nice lid. Heavy glass. Seems durable thought I won't be challenging it intentionally. I really like having the knob on the top. My old lids have tabs that stick out at the sides, so when you lift them, the hot steam from inside the bowl instantly scalds you unless you use mitts. With the top-center know, hands are out of the way of the escaping steam.

I had to replace the lid to one of my French White Corningware dish and this Pyrex lid was a perfect fit. The fact that the lid had a code that allowed me to quickly identify the size, is a wonderful feature.

It is great to be able to replace items so quickly. I hope I get 20 years out of this piece as well.
