Octopus Fluids Fountain pen cleaner set for cleaning fountain pens and nibs 100 ml

I was wary of buying this in case it damaged my pen, but after owning my Montblanc for 12 years, last year it started to block up so I had it serviced by Montblanc and although that fixed the problem it cost £180! I didn't fancy paying that every year so I tried this product instead. It's worked - the pen is working beautifully again and there doesn't seem to be any negative effect. Very happy.

I dont normally write reviews ...but really want to comment on this product - it's brilliant! I know others have said that you can make up a similar solution but....I have 2 Mont Blanc pens, one about 15 years old and the other around 9. I was struggling to use either. Both were scratchy and ink didn't seem to flow smoothly even though I had washed the nibs out with water until it ran clear. I first used the syringe with the product, and could not believe how much ink came out. I then soaked them in clean solution overnight, and again even more ink came out. Now reassembled, the pens write so smoothy they are a pleasure to use again!

Works really well for getting that little bit of stubborn ink out of my pens dries super quick and doesn’t effect the ink when cleaned out

I inherited a pair of gummed up Montblanc fountain pens. Despite flushing them in clean water and detergent I was unable to get them to write properly. However, after using this product they now write beautifully.

It's works, I made the mistake of leaving a pen top in it, it discoloured the plastic polished off but.... Syringe and liquid soap just as good

Ich hatte hier jahrelang einen Parker-Füller, der noch eine alte Patrone eingesteckt hatte. Natürlich komplett dicht und eingetrocknet. Die Reinigung mittels warmem Wasser und Ultraschall-Bad führte nur leidlich zum Erfolg. Der Füller schrieb nie ohne Probleme an und der Tintenfluss während des Schreibens setzte immer wieder aus. Entweder entsorgen oder einen letzten Versuch mit speziellem Reinigungsmittel starten. Da ich ein wenig an dem Parker hänge, entschied ich mich für die Reinigungslösung. Zunächst mit der Spritze/Schlauch etwas unverdünnte Lösung eingespritzt und eine halbe Stunde in Ruhe gelassen. Dann mit klarem Wasser (Spritze/Schlauch) durchgespült und getrocknet. Erneut etwas Lösung eingespritzt und für drei Minuten ins Ultraschallbad. Wieder mit Wasser durchgespült und getrocknet. Dann neue Patrone eingesetzt und erste Versuche gestartet. Die Tintenfarbe war zunächst wegen dem Restwasser sehr hell, aber es gab keine Aussetzer. Nach cirka zwei geschriebenen DIN A4 Seiten stellte sich die richtige Tintenfarbe auch ein. Soweit so gut. Am nächsten Tag der Anschreibtest. Klappte ohne Probleme. Der Füller schrieb sofort an und hatte auch in der Folge keine Aussetzer. Am nächsten Tag dasselbe positive Ergebnis, woraus ich schließe, dass die Blockade im Tintenleiter vollständig entfernt wurde. Ich vermute, dass die Lösung auch die feinsten Partikel zersetzt oder gelöst hat und ich das auf anderem Wege nicht frei bekommen hätte. Ich hatte mit diesem guten Ergebnis nicht so wirklich gerechnet, bin aber natürlich darüber sehr erfreut. Ich kann den Tintenreiniger sehr empfehlen.
