L-Lysine Powder, Unflavored, 200 g

Great product, improve my pets health very much!

Due to a genetic issue causing complications with building antibodies to it, I had shingles EIGHT times in less than three years. The vaccine wasn't an option due to the antibody issues. I was basically told this was my new normal. Not willing to accept that, I used my medical background to do some research and decided to try a low arginine diet with supplemented lysine. I have not had shingles in nearly a year now. When I feel the neuropathic pain increase, I double my dose. This brand has worked the best for me. When I tried others, I had to take triple the amount and still didn't feel that well. I never skip a day and make sure to never run out. The evidence that led me to this solution was mostly regarding HSV1 & HSV2. There have been many, many medical studies regarding those two viruses in particular. Shingles is the same thing as varicella (chicken pox) and is also known by the name herpes zoster. It stuff to reason if it was effective with other viruses in the herpes family, it could be on this as well. There are some studies on L-Lysine and shingles/ varicella, however it is not as well researched. There are also studies with EBV (mono). Hopefully someone will do more of these studies soon as there is a lot of anecdotal evidence showing the effectiveness on many viruses. Simply stated, there is no profit in people using this to help their health so the studies have no funding. Still, it has helped me tremendously and it's not very expensive. Anyone suffering from increased viral load/ recurring infections may want to give it a shot.

No issues with the product. I like that there are no fillers added to it. I add lysine powder to nut milks which are high in arginine in order to help prevent cold sores. It does help with that.

Have used this for a long time. Much cheaper than individual capsules, mixes well in juice.

Tremendo energizante

Easy to dissolve 1/3 tsp of this powder in my morning drink. Been using this for about 9 months. Love it.
