Can the tape be applied directly onto the healing scars, or do you need to put scar gel (or anything else) between the scar and the tape?

Mepitac is NOT scar tape!  It is silicone tape for those that have sensitive skin and need tape to hold down their durable medical equipment, such as a colostomy bag.  The company made it VERY CLEAR when I called that this will not do anything for scar healing.  Their scar tape is called Mepiform.

How much is by the each

The title says "by the each" meaning that each package has a roll of silicone tape that is 3.3 yards long and the tape it .8" wide (less than an inch). "By the each" is only trying to say what is contained in each package (preceded by the measurements). I know it's oddly worded. So if you order one, you'll get a box that has 3.3 yards of silicone tape that's .8" wide. They make the same product in other sizes so you have to check the title and/or description to know exactly what you're getting (length and width of the tape).

Scar Care silicone sheets are so expensive! I see this is cheaper. Is it basically the same thing? I am trying to treat keloids on my shoulder.

My wife had plastic surgery in Sept & Dec 2014 and used this product as well as Embrace Scar treatment, which was provided by her surgeon. While the Embrace did wonders for the scars, it's pricey ($100 per sheet), so she couldn't use it everywhere. That's where the Mepitac came in. It works well, is super easy to put on by yourself, and very easy to cut into smaller, even curved sizes. That more than anything makes it a good buy. My wife says she wouldn't hesitate to use it again.

please i need to know how long it is as i want to know if to order one or two...cant see the length ?

Do the math- it lists 3/4 inch wide by 118 inches long .118÷12=9.8 feet long.Enough to cover a pretty big scar & lasts a couple (thats two FYI) weeks (those are 7 days each) before needing changing :)
