So...I was lucky to just have a blown fuse, some people have reported they cooked the MCU. The harness comes with two similarly named and colored wires (orange and orange/white) - dimmer and illumination. Because my radio only had 1 wire to connect with, I was not sure how to proceed. I tried to connect first one wire, then the other, and finally both. Turns out, if you connect both you create a short and blow a fuse which kills your dash lights, your taillights and various other low power lighting. So...just clip the orange/white, and only connect the orange wire.

Did not fit 2005 Honda CRV, got the "Metra 70-1721 Wiring Harness for 1998-2005 Acura/Suzuki/Honda Vehicles" which worked perfect.

This worked perfectly and install was a breeze. However, this is NOT the wiring harness you need if you are also installing an aftermarket amplifier or subwoofer. This is for ONLY if you are only replacing the stereo and are keeping your factory amp and subwoofer
