Nice big comfy. Heavy. Sturdy.
Nice, big, comfy chair. Sturdy. I am 5'4" and 265 lbs. Its plenty big for me, and a little too tall. I carried it in its slipcase over my shoulder for about 6 blocks. It did get pretty heavy and uncomfortable. I wouldn't want to carry it much further. But I like the chair.

Game Day and Fishing Favorite!
As someone who spends a lot of time at kids' outdoor sports games and enjoys the occasional fishing trip, I've found the Coleman Big-N-Tall Quad Chair to be an absolute must-have. This chair has significantly enhanced my comfort during long days on the sidelines or by the water. First and foremost, the size and strength of this chair are perfect for me. It's roomy and comfortable, easily supporting my weight and height without feeling flimsy. Sitting in this chair for hours during games or while waiting for a catch has been a breeze, thanks to its sturdy and spacious design. The cup holder and side pocket are standout features that add to its convenience. Keeping a drink handy during intense sports matches or having a place to stash my fishing gear within arm's reach has been incredibly useful. I no longer have to juggle multiple items or constantly get up to grab something from my bag. The water-resistant aspect of the chair is another big plus. Whether it’s morning dew on the grass at a sports field or splashes from the lake while fishing, the chair stays dry and comfortable. This is essential for me, as it means one less thing to worry about in the great outdoors. Portability is key for any outdoor chair, and the Coleman Big-N-Tall Quad Chair nails it. It folds up easily and fits into its carrying bag, making it simple to transport to sports fields, fishing spots, or even just to store in the car. In conclusion, the Coleman Big-N-Tall Quad Chair is a fantastic investment for anyone who, like me, spends a lot of time outdoors at sporting events or fishing. It combines comfort, durability, and practicality, making it an ideal outdoor chair that meets all my needs.

THE chair for big guys - Updated… three times now
At 6' 2" / 250lbs I was tired of trying to find a folding chair the lasted more than a few events. This chair is build to last. The seat is higher off the ground which is nice and is far more sturdier than other chairs rated to 300lbs. The seat itself is wider and easily fits a couple of kids (2-10 year olds) or a big guy like me. 2019 - **Follow-up** I've had 2 of these chairs now almost 2 years. Between the kids volleyball, waterpolo, wresteling, swim team seasons, family outtings and neighborhood get togethers, these chairs are withstanding the usage. The cross joints in the front and back have strated to roll slightly but are still sturdy and I'm not affaid of them giving way anytime soon. There are no signs of wear on the seat or arms. The only item that has worn out is the little red zip-tie lock on the chairs travel bag (it broke)... When these chairs eventually wear out, I will purchase again. 2021 **Follow-up Part 2** Well it’s been over 4 years since I bought two of these chairs and they are still holding up. I am absolutely impressed with the quality and their durability. This is a home run purchase for the big and tall guys out there. IF these chairs ever break down I will purchase again without hesitation. 2023 - Wow! Over 6 years and these chairs are STILL going strong. I literally cannot believe it, but it’s 100% true. Hands down the greatest purchase I’ve ever made on Amazon. I wish I had this much luck with everything I buy. My friends all have these chairs now and not a single one has ever failed. I’m now over 300lbs (thanks Covid) and these chairs don’t let me down.

upright position
I normally write review but wanted to share a comment on the posture/position of the chair. It's nice and sturdy and at 6'4" I enjoy the dimensions and sturdiness a lot. I always feel like I need to brace myself for disaster in most chairs but this feels sturdy and you can relax. Except that it's not that relaxing a position for the chair. This is more like a director's chair posture. I associate camping chairs with a slightly recline posture but here you are sitting more upright. More a preference so still 4 stars but might buy another chair as its not preferred for long term sitting.

Quality You Can Feel
This chair has held up really well. My camping gear gets tossed around a lot, and it’s still in great shape. It’s big, comfortable, and feels like it’s built with quality materials.

Worth the money
I absolutely love these chairs. I don't feel like they'll fall over just sitting in them. They sit higher which makes them easier to get in and out of. They are large and sturdy and I can fold my legs up underneath me. The canvas is very thick and I don't think it would be easy to tear and will last a long time. I am so impressed I've bought more for our kids and their families. Update 7/4/2024, after 5 years of use: I'm still impressed. We have other camping/canvas chairs but, we always grab these (I bought more). These have been on the creeks, rivers, and lakes and in the creeks, rivers, and lakes. There's nothing like sitting in cool spring fed creeks and rivers when it's hot and humid imho. They've been at numerous bonfires, our grandkids soccer games, baseball games, and even basketball tournaments because there wasn't enough seating. They've been on very rocky, sandy, grassy, and hardwood surfaces. They've been left in the rain. The drain hole in the center of the seat works very well and you don't notice it when you sit in them. Two of the chairs stay in the trunk of our car, two of them stay in our truck, and two of them stay on our pontoon so we can bank or lake sit. We keep them in the storage bag when not in use and they've withstood everything, even the grandkids. There are no tears, rips at seams, rips of any kind actually, or holes. All the seams are still tight which still makes the seat and back tight. There is no stretching of the fabric. The metal frame has no rust! They're in the water a lot. When the chairs get dirty I use a dish brush, I like the long handle the best, and when I'm at the creek or river I use the brush to loosen the dirt and the chairs look good as new. The powder coat is still intact. All the metal is still strong. The weight limit is 600 pounds. We have a friend that is over 400 pounds and he fits comfortably in these chairs and he is able to sit down and stand up with ease. They are taller than 'regular' chairs which is so much easier to get in and out of for anyone. I'm 5'2" and I have had three back surgeries and these chairs are very easy to get in and out of for me. So if you're tall and/or have some weight or have had some sort of surgery that makes it hard to sit in 'regular' camping/canvas chairs I believe you will love these chairs. They are worth the money.

High Quality Product
I wanted a higher quality chair than the ten dollar chairs in a bag from the big box stores. I purchased the chair and liked it so much I bought a second one when I need one for a friend. This chair is made in a careful way with high quality materials. The fabric is double layer and it has a drain in the middle of the seat. The cup holder looks insulated with a plastic material and a drain in it. Every grommet is sewn with multiple stitching and high quality materials. You will be impressed by the chair. It is big and comfy as others have noted. I take this chair to a waterfront park several days a week in the afternoon. It is made out of steel and high quality material so it is heavier than the $10 chairs you get at a big box store. It weighs about ten pounds. It is not a problem to walk it a quarter of a mile or more but you would not want to take it on a hike. The seat hight is higher than the ten dollar folding chair and you can get your feet under yourself when you stand up. The arms are sturdy if you need to push up. I am 5'8'' and my feet touch the ground without a problem. It is a great chair.

Solid construction with a bit of a design flaw
As a heavier person I bought this chair for maximum convenience when going to BBQ, camping or fishing. Portability wise the unit is great for what is a very large and well made chair. It is easily more than I need for weight allowance and the price was right. There were two downsides to this chair. Firstly the 'armrests' have an eyelet attachment to the back-rest part of the frame. They slide up and down the tubes forming parts of the backrest but will slide down at an angle if you lean on them or try to push on the arm-rests when getting up. Perhaps a way to button them to the backrest material would solve that. It's not too bad though and doesn't really affect the drinks holder function. I only really noticed it when trying to get up off the chair. The major issue for me, downside number two, was the front of the surface you sit on has tubes directly under the material forming the X support. These pushed into the underside of my upper leg. After around 20-30 mins this became uncomfortable and I had to get up as I could feel it bruising me a bit. I feel this is a bit of a design flaw for a chair that is specifically designed for heavier people so I'm guessing it didn't get a lot of field testing with say a heavy 6ft guy for extended periods. Maybe it's just the way I'm built. The fix for me will be buying an additional square cut of memory foam material to use as a cushion. Once that's ironed out I reckon this chair will serve me just fine.
