Nice and Heavy - Made in China
“Developed and designed in Germany” Made in China. Nice heavy item, but insanely had to be sent all around the world to get to the UK. The highest rated mortar and pestle, proudly states developed and designed in Germany with their flag colours on the ad, however it is made in China. Along with everything else. I feel foolish to have proudly stated Germany. Somewhat misleading, no? I’m sure it will function as intended, however it is a gift and so I shall not be using it myself. I’ll be handing it over in shame however, and embarrassedly coming clean about the origins of the item. Feel a bit tricked. State clearly where it comes from, don’t try and pass it off as German made on first glance.

Worth the money
Item is just as advertised. Solid heavy granite (7lbs) that is polished on the outside and rough on the inside. Works great. Delivered on time.

Took my time choosing & ChefSofi 2 Cup Black Polished IS A BEAUTIFUL & PRACTICAL Choice! LOVE IT!
I already LOVE this. I took my time choosing, reading what everyone had to say. I knew the marble ones are too noisy for me. At last I chose this and did the prep with rice and then herb seasoning of it. It was EASY. Now... I love the look...so glad I chose the black and it is BEAUTIFUL. Looks terrific in my kitchen. More important, I love the 2 cup size...no one really wrote what size they'd bought, so I wasn't sure... but I am SO happy I chose the 2 cup. Perfect. Worth the extra money for SURE. And lastly I love how nice it feels in my hand and how easy it smashes and grinds. Even more important, I now consider this an INVESTMENT because without electricity this will continue to serve me and mine for the rest of our lives. I kept putting off buying one because I didn't "Need" it. Now that I've played with the fresh spices and am having fun in my kitchen I can't believe I've done without it all these years. I'm thinking of getting one for my brother for the holidays. Honestly, If you've been looking for one, this is a REALLY GREAT and BEAUTIFUL CHOICE. I believe you will love yours like I already love mine.
