No more foggy visor! Pricey, but fit and finish is perfect.
Always had a problem with condensation in my helmet, especially when I'm riding home at night. Even more so now that the weather has dipped into even lower temps.Good friend recommended that I get one of these, and at first didn't understand what this was or how it worked. It's essentially a piece of clear plastic with a silicone bead around it. You stick the beaded side onto the inside of the visor, and it prevents your visor from fogging up.Was a little hesitant because the price is high, but went with it anyways.Installed in 3 minutes, and I must say.. it's definitely worth it. First ride home that night, and no more foggy visor. It works well, and is very lowkey. Very hard to tell that you even have it on! Would definitely recommend!PS: There's a warning on the cover that tells you that the pinlock does reduce some visibility. They don't recommend you riding with it on at night as it reduces vision by 20%. I however though don't have a problem with this, but wanted to let yall know.

Light issues at night
Once I installed this in my helmet I saw a tremendous difference in my helmet. Hardly any fogging at all anymore. I knocked off a couple of stars because it is less than ideal when riding at night. It seems like oncoming lights prism much more than when I was only looking through one layer. I am contemplating removing it because I can always crack open my visor to deal with the fog but can't do anything to stop the light issue at night.

Fits the RF-1200 perfectly.
Fitting it took about 30 seconds but you better make sure you use a clean soft cloth to clean the face shield really well. They recommend to clean the face shield with soapy water and allow it to dry for a day. Sounded extreme but I did it anyway. The real challenge is spreading the face shield to fit the pinlock. I found that using my left forearm to hold down one end on a table with a soft covering such as a blanket, whilst pushing down the other end with my right hand worked best. When the shield is fully spread you just pop in the pinlock. Also wear nitrile gloves so you don't smudge the shield. Lastly wear a face mask so you don't breath onto the shield. The last thing you want to do is trap moisture between the shield and the pinlock during the installation.

Fixes the stock pinlock problem!
This is the exact fit for non-stock but still OEM Shoei CWR-1 shields. I bought the CWR-1 Transitions shield from Shoei only to discover months later when the weather cooled off, that the stock pinlock didn't fit the thing. This is the solution to that problem. Perfect fit, and 0 fog on cold 40-degree Minnesota mornings. Highly recommended. I don't like that Shoei didn't engineer things to fit as you'd expect, but at least it's not a terribly expensive fix for an expensive helmet, overall just a fraction of the cost anyway.

Fog free again.
This is my second pin lock I’ve purchased for my GT Air. I only purchased this one because I purchased a new visor, and my old one was around 4 years old and used for commuting so it had signs of wear. It looks perfect and was easy to install. They make such a difference in your visor fogging up, you won’t be able to ride without one if you try it.
