Kuhn Rikon Colori® Paring Knife – 4 Inch Japanese Stainless Steel, Nonstick Blade, Ergonomic Handle & Sheath, Blue

I purchased two of these because my daughter and I have been cooking together quite a bit. We love these paring knives!The blades are very sharp, as are the tips, making meal prep a breeze. The sheaths were a big factor in my choosing this knife over others because having bare blades in a drawer is dangerous and bad for the knives. I've been gradually replacing my lower-quality knives with Cutco's, but their paring knives don't come with a sheath for some reason. These have been a suitable alternative, and have held up well with a lot of use and no sharpening to date. The handles are comfortable and the knives are easy to clean or toss into the dishwasher. There's no wiggle in the tangs or traces of rust on the blades, despite many runs through the dishwasher. They both look brand new. I'm very pleased with the quality, especially for such a great price!

These small knives are great. I like them so much I have ordered more. They cut well, and can take a lot of misuse. I use them for cutting fruit and vegis for my smoothies.

I have used these knives for years and also given them as gifts. I love the colors, they are just the right size for every job, very easy to sharpen and hold an edge for a long time. They are my very favorited knives to use...although my husband seems to think I don't need every color! LOL

The first impression of this knife is that it's so pretty, and I still think that. However, after about half a month of regular use, the rainbow finish is starting to rub off. Now, I do toss it in the dishwasher to clean so that is probably contributing but I have another one of these with a polka dot finish and that one took years to start to rub off. I also think it has more to do with the case than the dishwasher since it's rubbing off in straight lines right where the case pinches in to hold onto the knife. That said, the knife itself is awesome and works as well as the older one I have and seems to be holding it's edge nicely. Overall I'm happy but if you're really attached to the rainbow finish and you're not willing to baby the knife, I'd skip it.

This brand holds its sharp edge quite nicely. I really like that it includes a matching sheath for the knife. I used it for cutting Corn off the cob and it does a fantastic job.

Recently, I was at a friend’s house and she had 2 of these knives. I used them in preparing food there and was surprised how sharp and efficient they cut. I ordered 2 for myself and they keep their sharpness and the price was right!
