I bought this because I wanted to be able to tell what my dog was doing when he goes out at night—at fifty mumble, my eyes aren’t so great anymore, and he’s a black dog in a poorly lit backyard. He’s on tie out, so I need to be able to tell if he’s wrapped his line around the clothesline pole, if he’s actually doing his business, or if he’s just sniffing the sniffs. Right now I’ve been clipping it on his harness or collar when he goes out at night and it puts out plenty of white, bright light for me to see his silhouette and have a pretty good idea of what he’s doing. I even took him for a quick walk one night, and the light did a nice job of lighting up the sidewalk so I could see the uneven bits. The light clips on easily and removes pretty easily as well, though I’m considering getting a spare collar and adding the light to that, as it has gotten tangled in his tags a couple of times when trying to remove. So far I haven’t needed to recharge it, but I’ve only had it a few weeks and at just a couple minutes a night, it’s not using much juice. Charging process is simple and convenient, though I have my doubts about just how secure the little rubber plug is going to be long term for keeping the water out, but I try to keep on eye on the weather and only send him out in between downpours (it’s been a wet spring so far). The light is actually smaller and lighter than I expected. My boy is big (78 lbs) so size wasn’t much of a concern, but I don’t think it would be an issue for any but the smallest tea cup size dogs. My 14 lb rat terrier certainly wouldn’t have noticed it. In summary, I’ve been pleased with the light so far and it’s fulfilling its purpose, with my only concerns about long term durability, centering around the plug meant to keep water out of the charging port. 5 stars for now, and will update if anything changes.

Nice little lights for our dogs! We have Shih Tzus that are on the smaller side (9 lbs) so I was worried that these would be too big. They just clip right on to their collars and turn on with a quick squeeze. Easy to use! Not too heavy for them. My one pooch likes to smell around so sometimes it scrapes on the ground but they're very durable - she even runs through puddles and sprinklers with hers on and they still keep on lighting up! Really easy to charge up and the charge lasts us about 2 weeks of walks every day. VERY bright little lights! These girls would NOT walk in the dark. As soon as they got these they are happy as can be to take on the dark areas of the sidewalk! Really nice for oncoming traffic, runners, and other walkers to see us. The casing is black and the light is a white color. Neither has faded or even scratched and we've had them now for several months. Clips right on to our jackets and backpacks too making them really versatile to use. A must have for any walker, runner, hiker or pet parent!

Works exactly as described. Charged upon arrival and haven’t needed to charge after an entire month of use. I have no lighting in my backyard yet and my dog is black, i cannot see her from a distance when she goes out at night time. This has been an easy addition to her night time potty routine, allows me to ensure she goes #1 & #2 at night, and helps me to keep her safe. Love that it’s easy to use, store, charge, and extremely cost effective. It’s small but bright and very light weight. I take it on and off as needed only because i have a puppy who i just know will manage to break it off of her collar to chew it or worse if left it on her unattended. But when she has it on, she pays no mind to it at all. It’s so small and easy to use that i do not mind putting it on and off as needed

Great product, best for medium and larger dogs as they will drag the ground on chihuahuas, dachshund, etc. . Long lasting charge. I modified my lights to prevent them dragging the ground. You could also clip them higher on a harness but my dog doesn’t care for it on his back so I secured my lights to the dogs’ harness and collar respectively. The lights have 3 settings, high white, low white and flashing red, in my video I show the lights on low and red. Low is plenty bright and saves battery life. I charge the lights about once a month. I am very satisfied with this product! I cannot recommend these lights highly enough.

I have 2 sets of lights from "Maple Seeker" brand that I really, really like - they have longish battery charge, have made it through heavy downpours of rain, an accidental trip through the laundry for one when I'd forgotten I'd put it in my running armband pouch, AND having been lost outside & found later after being out in snow, mud and rain for weeks. They also push on with a pretty light tap and have about 5 or 6 different modes. The only problem I have with them was that they sometimes come unclipped & I lose them, (like when the one was in the snow, mud and rain for weeks, believed to be forever lost). But these particular "Outopest" ones have a carabiner clip, so I would be able to slip them around straps or through that little hole in zippers and they'd stay tightly on. Perfect. They DO work and they do not slip off; the fact that I'm missing one now is due to my own forgetting where I put it, rather than it slipping off while I was out and about. There are 3 modes - super blindingly bright white, slightly less blindingly white, and blinky red. I use the blinky red - mostly b/c I don't want my dog to be bothered by having a spotlight in his peripheral view; (it's not entirely pleasant to have the white light modes in my own peripheral view). I think either one of the white light modes would be great though if you hooked it to something on your back or a bike. There's no way you'd not be seen by anyone, unless they were steadfastly looking down at their phone while driving. In that case, it would hardly matter. But I digress. I have two problems with them though - they do not hold a battery charge for very long, at least compared with other safety lights I've used, and it takes quite a bit of pressure to get the light to turn on/off and switch modes - again, compared to other types I've used. I do admit to having fairly weak hands, but it is still a bit frustrating. I don't entirely regret getting them, but I plan on eventually getting another set of lights with a similar closure - from a totally different brand.

This is perfect for walking my dog at night. There's a lot cars parked in the street alongside the curbs, so it can be hard for drivers to see me and my dog when we are behind one of these cars. The light doesn't seem to bother her at all. It can rotate so I orientate it to face the ground. The clip clips on to her collar with ease. I'm not sure how long one charge will last, but I'm guessing it's a long time. I'm glad that I bought these.

Just received them but they seem great. They only took a short time to charge and they were up and working. They have two levels of brightness and a flashing red. The brightest level is super bright! The plug that covers the charging opening is a bit finicky to get back in place but should do the trick. Time will now tell if they hold up to the vigor of two active Boxers. I love the fact that there are no batteries to replace, just charge and go. **Update-February 13 2021. 5 stars. Best dog light I have bought. I’ve tried other brand names and they never last. These have been on two active boxers and they have stood up to some rough conditions. No complaints. I would definitely recommend them. They charge quickly and last a hours on each charge. As noted, the runner that protects the USB charge port is a bit difficult to reinsert but can be done with some patience.

My dog is black and gets quite fluffy and I have struggled to find an effective night time device to keep him visible. This is great and I’ve received a lot of comments from other dog owners. It hangs off his collar and he seems to really like it. Is a bit of a torch for him too or can be on a more discrete red flashing mode. I love that it is USB rechargeable too
