It is just one month and too early to give a review. I was using a 2GH one and was always facing connection issues. I have been asked by the internet provider to upgrade to 5GH. It is working fine so far without any issues, 'touch wood".

Hier kommt meine humorvolle 5-Sterne-Bewertung für den Switch, der sich in mein Netzwerk geschlichen hat und alles miteinander verbindet, während ich noch überlege, wie das Internet eigentlich funktioniert. Erster Eindruck – Klein, schwarz, und verdammt seriös: Ich packe den Switch aus und sehe ein Metallgehäuse, das mir sofort das Gefühl gibt, hier kommt ein Gerät, das für die Ewigkeit gebaut wurde. Er ist so kompakt und stabil, dass ich kurz überlege, ob ich damit auch Nägel in die Wand schlagen kann. (Hab’s lieber nicht ausprobiert – er verdient Respekt!) 8 Ports – Mehr als genug für mein Kabel-Chaos: 8 Ports! Ich frage mich ernsthaft, was ich alles anschließen soll. • Mein PC? Check. • Mein Laptop? Check. • Meine Spielekonsole? Check. • Mein Drucker? Ja, der auch! • Mein Smart-TV, mein NAS, mein Kühlschrank, der Toaster… Okay, vielleicht übertreibe ich, aber hey – besser zu viele Ports als zu wenige. Dieser Switch sagt: „Bring alles mit, ich hab Platz!“ Geschwindigkeit – Flott wie ein Gepard auf Energy-Drinks: Mit bis zu 2000 Mbit/s pro Port ist das Teil schneller als mein Verstand am Montagmorgen. Dateien flitzen durch mein Netzwerk, als würden sie an einem digitalen Formel-1-Rennen teilnehmen. Ich kopiere große Filme, während ich gleichzeitig zocke, streame und nebenbei einen Kaffee koche. Keine Aussetzer, kein Stottern – nur pure Gigabit-Glückseligkeit. Non-Blocking-Architektur – Das Stau-freie Internet: Dieser Switch sorgt dafür, dass kein Datenverkehr blockiert wird. Alles fließt reibungslos durch, ohne Stau, ohne Wartezeiten. Es ist, als hätte ich die digitale Autobahn für mich allein. Während andere Geräte noch mit Datenstau kämpfen, winkt mein Switch freundlich: „Fahrt ruhig durch, hier läuft alles glatt.“ Lüfterlos – Ruhe wie in einer Bibliothek: Er ist so leise, dass ich manchmal vergesse, dass er überhaupt existiert. Der Switch nimmt mir alle Sorgen ab, während ich da stehe und so tue, als hätte ich Ahnung von Netzwerktechnik. Spoiler: Habe ich nicht. Fazit – Ein unsichtbarer Held des Heimnetzwerks: Der D-Link DGS-108 ist ein stiller, zuverlässiger Gigabit-Krieger, der alles miteinander verbindet, ohne zu meckern. Er steht einfach da, tut, was er soll, und lässt mein Netzwerk glänzen. My pc and accessories knowledge isn't great so was glad to find this product works right out of the box. Plugged the switch into my ethernet connection and then all my devices into the switch, everything worked without problems and at great speeds.

I had issues with wi-fi receptions in part of my house so I bought a newer/faster TP-Link router but I had issues with an older D-Link & Linksys router in different parts of the house even though I had hardwired to the TP-Link with Cat5e cables. The TP-Link was blocking internet access to the older routers and the app wouldn't give me options on how to troubleshoot/release the ports. I used this switch somewhat different than the instructions indicated. Instead of going from the Satellite modem to the TP-Link router, I went from the Satellite modem to this 8 port unmanaged D-Link switch, then from the switch to the TP-Link router, and tied the D-Link and Linksys directly to the D-Link switch, and all my issues went away. I now have wi-fi everywhere without issue, at excellent speeds for all my devices. It was a cheap and easy fix. My only negative comment is that the nice metal case should have the rubber feet pre-installed, and the power cable should be a meter longer, in my opinion.
