Can you use these for a hospital bed?

We didn't use it for a bed, however, they moved a freezer, refrigerator, china cabinet and stove. Didn't work on the plush carpet but did work on low carpet area and floors.

Can you move in any direction when the heavy item is on or does it roll one way? What are the extensions for?

Dear Abel, If the furniture legs are centered on the roller pads, you will be able to rotate 360⁰. Only extremely heavy furniture pieces that are not positioned correctly, with have difficulties on moving 360⁰. The extensions are used for furniture that has longer legs. You build the extension for the needed hight, add the cradle for safery, and then use the lever to easily lift the furniture in order to place the rollers under the legs. Do they make them in the brown color?
