What are the dimensions of both the smaller and larger buckets?

The large one is 9 3/4" wide, 7" deep, 8 3/4 tall, 16" with the lid open, this was important to me because my cabinets are 15 1/2 above the counter. So I must pull it in front of the cabinets to open all the way. It seems worth it because I had to empty the small one every day and the removable rim holds the bag in place. It does such a good job of holding the bad smells in that I don't mind letting it fill up for 2 or 3 days. The small one is 7" wide 7" deep7 1/2 if you count the tab in front, 7" tall, 14 1/2 with the lid open. They both taper so they are a little smaller at the bottom.

Is the venting necessary at all? Other compost bins have vent holes with the charcoal filter. How does this help not build up bacteria?

Mine molded! There's no way for this to work as a compost bin inside. There are two air holes but it's not enough air and there's plenty of mold spores that proliferate! I do not recommend this product! I eventually will be taking an old storage tote and turning that into a compost bin.

Is this product recyclable?

I looked at the bottom of my container and there’s an arrow pointing to “3”. Plastics labeled as “3” are usually not recyclable in most areas. Best bet is to check with your local sanitation department. I was hoping I could recycle mine since it’s falling apart after 5 years of service but it’s destined for the regular trash bin instead. I am going to switch to a regular glass container for future compost holding because I don’t want to add more plastic to the environment.

how does it work with bags? (I use curbside compost recycling, so need to use bags) And which size works best with 1.3-gallon bags?

I bought compost bags at my local grocery store which were 2.6 gallon (smallest they had). They are just a tad bit big but fit fine. 1.3 gallon would be half the size and seems too small for this product. I would go with at least 2 gallon. Put the bag in and fold it over the sides then put the lid on to hold it in place.

Really easy to clean

The lack of corners inside and the removable lid makes this bin super easy to wash. It has a smaller footprint and doesn’t take up too much space on the counter.

Es lo que buscaba.Satisfecha con la compra.

Buscaba un cubo pequeño para los restos orgánicos de la cocina, para poder tenerlo encima del mármol. Tenia claro que no lo queria blanco porque por mucho que limpies con el tiempo siempre se ven sucios, y encontré éste. Aunque no es de los más económicos, merece la pena. PROS: El tamaño está muy bien, es pequeño pero tiene mucha capacidad. Color es muy bonito y queda muy bien en la cocina. Es desmontable y puede ir al lavavajillas. La tapa se aguanta abierta. CONTRAS: Su precio. (El mismo modelo en blanco cuesta 8€ menos) Le he hecho fotos al lado de un rollo de papel de cocina (de los grandes formato industrial/lavamanos/de cocina maxi XL) para que os podáis hacer una idea. La verdad es que me ha encantado el producto. Recomendable.

Great product

The plastic is glossy, sturdy and scratch resistent. Mine is almost 6 months old and looks new. White and green, very nice colour set. Very easy to clean, rinse, the lid closes well and can be easily detached for cleaning. I use it with 6l biodegradable liners which are very cheap here on Amazon. The size is perfect for a family of 3/4. You would have to empty it every second day. Looks very nice on the kitchen worktop, clean, glossy
