Can i monitor my house from a different country? or does my phone have to be on the same wifi network?

The phone doesn't have to be on the same network. It is live streaming through internet.

Does it work with yi home or will i have to switch to yi life app for it to work? yi life is not available in the uae...

Since I bought it a month ago, it keeps giving me the warning that I need to switch to YI Life. I live in the UAE, and so far, I have not needed to and still use YI Home without a problem.
