DampRid is a product designed to remove moisture from the air, which helps prevent excessive humidity as well as mould and mildew. It consists of a non-toxic inorganic mineral salt called calcium chloride that naturally absorbs moisture from the air.

Yes, the Disposable Moisture Absorber can be used in the pantry as it does not emit any vapors and is safe around food items.

How do you responsibly dispose of this product? Shall I empty the content into the trash then recycle the bucket?

DampRid disposable products should be contained in a plastic bag and placed in the trash so they will not leak. Do not litter or leave them where children or animals could get to them or where the contents would leak or spill on plants or belongings. We have refillable products that are more eco friendly if you prefer those. While the plastic is recyclable, the disposable products are made for convenience and simplicity and should be thrown away as a complete unit with the liquid (which is a salt brine) included.
