Q: I have imac 27 inch,mid 2011 two slot of 2gb each and two empty,so,this memory can work for this model?

Yes, I put this exact chip into my own iMac 2010, 27". I used two of the 4.0GB Samsung chips in the bottom slots and now have a whopping 12 GB total. They work great!

My computer was was sony-vaio and it worked perfectly. This module is some how generic type, but I am not sure if it works in dell inspiron. What I did was visually compared found that it matches, using this magnified pic of this and taking out one of modules from my PC. Worest scenarion was I could return it.
